Parties at the lakehouse weren’t uncommon. If anything, they were expected. Jack was always the usual planner, his lack of college frat parties making him compensate with the loudest, most entertaining functions.
As a usual guest at the house, your invitation was always the first to go, considering you practically lived with the Hughes boys the second their seasons ended, your parents having been friends for a lifetime and some. You were closest with Jack due to age, but Quinn had always felt like something more than to label him ‘just a friend’.
Currently, you were sitting on the couch, legs draped over Jack’s as you both drank from your red solo cups and engaged in the conversations you could hear over the music.
Quinn sat on the other side of you, your head resting on his thigh as you put your cup on the ground. His free hand mindlessly dropped to yours, bringing it up to your shoulder so he didn’t have to reach down. It wasn’t romantic, it was strictly platonic. While he wasn’t off limits, you knew him well enough to know that this is how he felt the most grounded in an overwhelming scene.
“All I’m saying is that I wouldn’t be too happy if the guy I was talking to ghosted me out of nowhere.”
Your words were directed towards Trevor, a usual suspect when it came to leaving his trail when it came to summer hookups. The conversation had started when he began talking about some girls he had hooked up with in LA before flying to Michigan, getting looks from you and Quinn at the way he overshared about his experiences.
Trevor scoffed, taking a sip of his drink, “Yeah, well, you’re a girl. Of course, you think that way.”
Jack rolled his eyes, “Or maybe she just has decency? C’mon, Trev. You gotta admit, you sound pretty messy right now.”
“Obviously you would say that,” Trevor retaliated, “You wouldn’t get it. You and Y/N hooked up and are still friends.”
You nearly choked on your spit, the shock on everyone’s face making yours feel suddenly warm. Jack squeezed your shin, deciding whether he should laugh it off and move on or explain how it didn’t mean anything to either of you. Unfortunately, Trevor’s words had struck a different brother in a distasteful way.
Quinn’s hand tightened its grip on yours, squeezing your fingers as if you were going to get up and run away. He didn’t picture it, he just pictured you.
How did you react? Did you like it? Would you do it again?
Do you like Jack?
He could feel the jealousy coursing through his veins; the mere idea of his younger brother seeing you in your most vulnerable state plagued his mind. He knew Jack. He knew that most of his hookups were centered on his pleasure, not the girls. Did he even care to make you cum?
Your bubbly voice pulled him out of his spiral, “One time thing when we were eighteen, Trev. Get over it.” The sound of your laughter pulled everyone out of the awkwardness, treating the conversation as if it had never stunned you into silence. “Plus, it didn’t mean anything anyway.”
“Oh, it’s like a dagger in my heart.” Jack teased, playing into it.
Quinn, on the other hand, was having none of it. He sat you up, letting go of your hand. “I think I’m gonna call it for tonight.” His tone was short and snappy, as if someone had just insulted him.
It was impossible to notice the way he weaved himself past the group sitting at the bottom of the stairs, making his way up to his bedroom before shutting the door. While Trevor and Jack returned to their conversation, you couldn’t help but wonder what was going on with the man upstairs.
“I’ll be right back.” You excused yourself, shifting your legs off of Jack’s lap and trailing the same path Quinn had taken to his room.
The party downstairs was disregarded when you knocked twice on the door, turning the knob before he ever gave you the go ahead. Quinn was never one to lock his door, but he couldn’t say he was upset at you when you switched the lock as you stepped in and closed the door behind you. His eyes locked with yours for a moment before going back to stare at his TV.
You let out a sigh. “You okay? You kinda upped and bolted in here.” He didn’t get the chance to answer before you sat down on his bed, crawling over to where he lay, “Was it the hookup talk? I swear I was gonna tell you, but-”
He cut you off with a scoff, shaking his head before looking at you, “It’s not that.”
Your head tilted at his statement, “Then what’s wrong?”
Quinn sighed, his arm coming across to drape over your shoulders as he pulled you closer into his body, “I hate thinking about the fact that he didn’t take care of you properly.” You weren’t sure what you had expected him to say, but it hadn’t been that. He chuckled at your shocked expression, your eyes shifting between his as you processed his words.
“What?”
“Y/N, be real. Did he even make you cum? Or did he just make you so tired of him that you faked it?”
His vulgarity stunned you even further into silence. On some level, though, his words had truth. Jack hadn’t made you finish when you hooked up, but you gave him the benefit of the doubt because “He was eighteen, Quinny. He didn’t know what he was doing.”
Still, your defense didn’t make the anger brewing inside him simmer down one bit. Before you knew it, his hands were gripping your waist, pulling you up onto his lap so you straddled him. “Let me show you what he should’ve done, yeah?”
Your brain short-circuited. Were you hearing him correctly, or were you just turned on by the way he was determined to prove he was better than Jack? Before you could process your own question, you were leaning forward, capturing his warm lips in a heavy kiss.
Quinn flipped you both over, finding his comfort in being on top of you rather than below. His lips moved in sync with yours, his tongue already pleading for entry, which you gladly granted. You could feel his knee pushing your legs apart, the skirt you had chosen to wear for the now long forgotten party giving him easy access to press his knee against your warmth.
You gasped softly at the pressure, your hips instinctively rocking towards it as you felt his lips travel down to your neck, finding a spot and suckling on it.
“Did he do this for you?” He asked in a quiet voice, “Did he make sure you were this wet before even trying to fuck you?”
A whine slipped past your lips in response, your hands coming up to grip his shoulders as you sped up your movements. Quinn brought one hand down, fingers bruising your hip as he stopped you from moving. “Words, baby. Tell me.”
“N-no.”
Quinn hummed, “No?”
“No, he didn’t.” You groaned, trying to move your hips again, but to no avail, “Please let me move, Q. Please.”
Satisfied with your words, he loosened his grip, letting you grind against his sweatpants-covered leg again. He was hypnotized by the small furrow in your eyebrows as you started to feel your orgasm build, the way your breaths started to come out in soft pants rather than big huffs. It was the small details that told him exactly what you wanted, what you needed.
He pressed his leg up closer to you, intensifying the pressure that sent your head reeling. Your eyes struggled to find his, the urge to close them becoming overwhelming. But you did yourself a favour, keeping eye contact as you got closer and closer.
“Quinn,” You moaned, biting down on your lip to maintain yourself quiet enough so that the guests wouldn’t catch wind of what was happening upstairs. “Gonna cum.”
The look on his face was unforgettable. He was proud of himself. Proud he had you so desperate underneath him that you were getting off by using his body. Proud he got you there, unlike your past experiences with Jack. It was pure pride and satisfaction, and fuck did it feel good.
“Atta girl, sweetheart.” He praised, whispering in your ear. “Let me feel you cum all over me before I’ve even fucked you.”
His words sent you over the edge, his ego rising as he could feel the way your fingers tightened on the skin of his shoulders, the way your body shook gently as you dampened your panties and his pant leg. He was learning all your tells, something he knew no one had bothered with before.
He kissed your cheeks, meeting your lips as his hushed words guided you through your orgasm. Your body was hot against his as he stripped off your skirt and damp panties, following suit and revealing his body to you. As you calmed down, your bleary vision cleared up just in time to stop him from pulling off his pants, your hand covering his that sat on his waistband.
Quinn stopped moving, smirking at you as he took your wrist, placing it where his was previously, and lifted both hands up. He watched as your mouth all but watered as you pulled down the fabric, exposing his navy blue boxers and the bulge that threatened to tear through the cotton. He stepped out of them as you stared in awe, amazed at the dark, wet patch that was barely noticeable due to the colour.
You reached for it, your hand cupping around his cock as he let out a soft groan, anchoring himself back onto the bed as he took your hand and pinned it over your head. His lips were back on yours instantly, his lips moving with more frevour than they had before, as if it was his last chance at kissing you.
His hand reached down for his cock, stroking his length briefly as he slapped his tip against your swollen clit, whines escaping your lips at the inconsistent pressure. His actions showed no signs of a rush, but your body was so desperate to have him inside of you that you could barely control your words as they slipped out.
“Please just fuck me,” You begged, “Know you can do it better than him, Q.”
Those words cracked him because before you knew it, he slipped in with one harsh thrust, filling you up so quickly that you had no choice but to scream. Quinn covered your mouth with his hand, wanting to reserve your noises for no one else but him.
You watched with wide eyes as his jaw fell agape as he started to move, his thrusts speeding up as your arousal coated his cock, making it easier to move. His hand came off your mouth, a rookie mistake because the second he did, you sang his praises.
“So, so big, Quinn.” You babbled, your cock-drunk mind focused on nothing but the way he hit all the right spots so effortlessly, like he’d mapped out your body to the tee. “Oh my- fuck! Best I’ve ever had, please don’t stop.”
His cock twitched at your words, his hand lifting your shirt as he leaned down to scatter kisses across your chest. “You feel so fucking good, pretty girl.” He targeted your nipple, pinching one while he swirled his tongue around the other, switching constantly as he felt you clench around him. “Pussy was fucking made for me.”
He could feel the way your body tensed up again, a cocky smirk tugging at his lips as you slammed your hands down on his sheets, pulling the cover tighter as he hit the spot that had your head falling back and your eyes seeing stars.
“You look so pretty,” He teased, speeding up his thrusts so you couldn't chirp back. “Bet he didn’t see you like this, huh? All fucked out underneath him?” Quinn’s words were poisoned with spite, fuming at the thought of someone missing out on everything you had to offer. “More for me, though, isn’t that right, baby?”
Your head nodded rapidly, words not coming as an option as you could feel your abdomen tighten the more he abused that spot inside of you with each thrust. You were pulled a little closer back to reality when you felt his finger flick your clit, the sudden action leaving your mouth to widen even further.
“What did I say, hm?” He scolded, the pad of his finger now swirling rapid circles around your swollen bud, as if he was trying to keep you speechless. “Words, or you don’t cum.”
You whined, “All for you. I was made just for you, Q.”
He hummed in satisfaction, your words shooting straight to his cock as he kept his pace, feeling your body twitch underneath him as the knot in your stomach threatened to let go. “No,” Quinn breathed. “You cum with me or not at all, you got it?”
“Yes, sir.” The idea of keeping yourself teetering at the line of your orgasm felt like torture, but your mind had already adapted to Quinn’s rules, rewired to listen to him no matter how badly you needed to let go.
He groaned, the sound coming straight from his chest, as his fingers gripped your thighs, pushing them further back to push deeper into you. It was overwhelming, your walls spasming around him as you fought back your orgasm, wanting nothing more than to tip over that peak as he filled you up.
A few more harsh thrusts and he was right there with you, his forehead touching yours as he mumbled praise to you before saying, “Cum on my cock, pretty girl.”
And that was the only cue you needed. Your movements were involuntary, your back arching off the mattress and pressing your skin flush to his chest, your shooting up to tug his hair. He was no different, the way his muscles tensed and a sinful moan slipped past his swollen lips, his cum spurting into you as he tainted your walls white, filling you up to the point where it leaked out of you in drops.
You could feel his breath clashing with yours, the mixture of warmth bringing you comfort as you felt his cock soften inside of you, one of your hands coming down to cup his face. Your thumb rubbed the skin soothingly as he dropped his weight onto you, catching his breath and embracing your warmth.
“So,” You began, shifting that hand to toy with his now damp curls, “Was that you just trying to prove to me that you fuck better than your brother?” Quinn groaned into your skin, the vibrations tickling you slightly. He lifted his head, catching your gaze as you waited for his answer.
“One, I knew I did. Two, no. I’ve been hoping you’d look my way since we were kids. But you were closer to Jack, so I don’t know. Didn’t wanna play the guessing game with you until I knew for sure.”
Your eyebrows furrowed, “You could’ve said something sooner. It’s never felt like just a friendship with you.”
The relief that washed over him was visible, his body relaxed as he let out a sigh. Quinn had never thought he’d get to even have this conversation with you, so he cherished your response as if he’d forget it the next day.
“Well, I’m saying something now.” He smiled cheesily at you as he leaned up for a quick kiss, which you gladly gave in to. “Let me take you out tomorrow?”

Great Shift; We Didn’t Choose These Bodies…
Tumblr media
Trevor:
I’m officially 2 months into the Great Shift and I’m about to go insane! You see before all of this craziness went down— I was a 18 year old scrawny gay boy who lived across the street. The body that seems to be now mine forever belonged to 47 year old Jason Dixon. He’s a handsome guy, works in construction, and has one son named Carson.
Now Carson, is someone I’ve known since I was young. He’s a couple years older than me and I hate to say it but he was kinda my sexual awakening. He was on the swim team and I remember seeing him in a speedo— something about it just woke me up. And now all of this time later I still get weak to the knees when I see him.
Now the hard part about all of this is that our community has chosen as a whole to “pretend” and live our lives in public as the body we are in.
Which can be hard given people have swapped with different genders, ages… it gets kinda weird. But when I’m out in public, I’m Jason. No one causes me Trevor anymore, well accept for Ben.
Ben is a guy who lived a couple blocks down from me, I really didn’t know Ben prior to the Great Shift. He was a middle aged gay guy who lived alone. And now he’s inside of Carson’s body.
We both now live under a house together that never belonged to us and are forced to pretend to be ‘father and son’ in public.
At home both of us have just really enjoyed each other’s company. We’re both gay and openly talk about guys, what we like about them, music, all kinds of stuff. The house is kind of our safe space to be ourselves.
Except him and I have one huge issue— we both are very attracted to each other’s bodies. Ben confessed to me one time while we were sitting on the couch together drinking a bottle of wine that Jason’s body is like the man of his dreams.
And I get it, Mr. Dixon is a good looking guy. I enjoy having his big muscled hairy body on a daily basis. Especially since he has a gigantic cock and a pair of sexy feet.
I guess they’re something he passed down to Carson because I can’t stop looking at them! I already had a foot fetish before this mess and I have to watch Ben strut around in his body… he never wears socks or a shirt or pants for that matter!
So what do I do in response? Well, I turned it up a notch. Not only did I strip down to less but I stopped wearing underwear around the house. I’ll free ball so he can see my sexy daddy junk flopping around as I walk. And boy did I get his attention!
He can’t take his eyes off of it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That lead to the back and forth mirror selfies… both of sending more and more risky photos of each other.
And then came Ben placing Carson’s big smelly feet on my lap… I know he knows I have a thing for feet! He looks over at me with a very cheeky ton and says, “my feet are killing me! Could you rub them?”
And of course I said yes, I rubbed his feet for 15 minutes until I knew I couldn’t take anymore!
I hightailed it to the bathroom, locked the door, and wanked one out. I knew in that moment, I was done with games. I need to address this.
So that night, we sat on the couch after dinner watching a movie. I wrap my arm around him and he freezes up.
“Sorry need to stretch out a bit, I say to him.”
He acknowledges my excuse and leans his on me.
I start rubbing up and down his forearm softly wondering if he’s going to do something about it.
He says nothing… a few moments later, Ben puts his feet on mine and starts rubbing his toes back and forth.
I lift my head up and look at him. I kiss him on the cheek. He looks taken aback by it.
“Trev, you know we can’t.”
“And why the fuck not?”
“Because we are technically father and son…”
“That’s such a BS excuse, you flirt with me for weeks now. You and I aren’t related. Now these bodies might be but who the hell has to know?”
“Yeah but what if we get caught?”
“We won’t… now just relax.”
I grab his junk and lets out a yelp noise.
“You’ve toyed with me for too long Ben. You and I are going to explore every inch of each other starting tonight. You’re gonna come sleep in daddy‘s bed for now on do you understand?”
“Fuck…”
I pulled his pants down and fully expose him. I see his beautiful cock, really for the first time. It’s so hard and already leaking. I’ve bend my head down and gingerly lick become off of his head. I knew that been like to be dominated. We both shared our fantasies with each other. He’s always wanted some handsome hairy bearded muscular daddy to boss him around. And that’s what I’m gonna do.
“ Do you understand daddy‘s orders?,” I say to him. he knows his head. I grabbed his dick and play with the head of his cock, running my thumb back-and-forth on it.
“ I said did you understand daddy’s orders? I need to hear you.”
“Yes—“
“ yes what?”
“Yes daddy!”
“ good now let’s head to bed, daddy needs you to use that pretty mouth of yours on his massive cock.”
I pull off my shorts and out comes Jason’s massive dick that I know he’s been fantasizing for a long time now.
“ Trevor, this is so fucking hot. Thank you for doing this. I’ve been wanting the touch that body for so long. I wanna suck your cock so bad. I wanna feel up and down that hairy chest. I wanna smell those big manly feet. I want you to cuddle at night. God I’m so happy this is finally happening. Deep down since this whole swap thing happened it’s all I’ve ever wanted. Not only are you in the body of my dreams, but I really like you.”
“ fuck Ben! Way to kill the mood with that last part, I really fucking like you too. How about we just stick to role-playing and worry about our emotions later. Daddy’s worrying as fuck lol.”
“ shit you wanna get really crazy what about if you’re sexy ass son talk to you tonight?”
“ that’s hot as shit you know I’m a bottom!”
“ yeah but you’re gonna have to tell me every now and then especially with that massive dick of yours.”
“ well then I want a foot job. You know I like feet and you know what I like those feet. Which by the way, you’re such a dick for making rub them for like 30 minutes the other day. I literally had to run to the bathroom and jerk one out.”
“ ha ha I literally I knew it!”
“So you ready?”
“Yep!!”

𖧷
IF YOU had to describe what you were feeling, you’d have to say you are…
Well. Horny.
Being late to everything in your romantic life, you had never felt aroused towards a man before. Of course, you have had crushes on boys and you’d love if things went further than that, but besides Zack, you had never really intended on having sex with any of them.
Even with that guy back in high school, you only did it because you felt pressured to. You didn’t really like him, and you can only guess that he didn’t really like you either.
Until Jack.
You were sitting on the bench near the lake at your brother’s house, the bonfire near you is almost completely extinguished and you’re staring at the dark, lowkey scary lake in front of you.
It was late at night, everyone Trev had invited to his little lake party had already left, Jack included.
“Hey,” Jack’s honeyed voice reaches your ear, as you finish putting on your sweater. Everyone was inside already, and you could hear Trevor’s nonstop talk. “What’s up with the pouty lips, pretty?”
“I’m not pouting…”
He leans closer, chuckling. “Yes, you are, baby. What’s going on?”
“I just…” you sigh, hoping the darkness around you both hides the blush in your cheeks. “Can’t we move on to the next lesson?” Whispering, you look down to your feet.
Jack’s laugh makes you frown even more.
“It’s not funny, Jack.”
“Sorry, sorry,” he whispers. “It’s hard, baby. Trevor’s already complaining about you sneaking out at night and only coming back in the morning.”
“He would never connect the dots, Jack.”
“Baby—”
“Besides that, I’m twenty!” You raise your voice, only to lower it again. “I’m twenty, Jack. If I want you to f-fuck me, it’s my business.”
“You want me to fuck you?”
Jack had a playful, yet amused smile on his face, and you wanted to kiss him really badly.
“I mean, y-yes?”
He leans closer, briefly pecking your lips before stepping back. “Believe me, I want that too, baby. But we can’t right now, so be patient okay? I don’t want Z to give you too much trouble,” he sighs, putting his hands inside his front pocket. “Get inside soon, alright? Don’t want you to get cold. Text me if you need anything, pretty.”
You nod, watching as he smiles at you before leaving.
And you’re still outside, an hour later, with your mind working nonstop. The thought of laying underneath Jack, with his dick inside of you, in and out, while you’re nothing but a whimpering mess under him made you so fucking horny it isn’t one bit funny.
Before, when your friends or even Kiara would talk about wanting to fuck someone, you thought they were just exaggerating to make you want to do the same, and after your first time going awfully terrible, you started to believe that, but now, as you get up and head inside to pack your things, you realise they weren’t kidding.
“Where are you going?” Trevor asks, sounding tipsy as fuck. “Saraah.”
“I’m— I’m going to a guy’s house,” you blurt out, zipping up your bag. “I’ll be back tomorrow morning.”
“What?” He gets up, suddenly looking a whole lot sober, walking in your direction. “What do you mean? No!”
“What do you mean ‘no’?” You scoff, suddenly brave. “I’m twenty and last time I checked, I’m free to do whatever I want. And if what I want is to go to a guy’s house,” And fuck him until I can no longer speak. “Then I’ll do it. Good night.”
“What— Sarah!”
Trevor keeps shouting your name, but at this point, you’ve had enough of his protective bullshit. He’s been fucking girls since he was seventeen years old, so what’s the big deal anyway?
You call for an Uber and put on Jack’s address.
It was now or never.
𖧷
“I’M PLEASED yet scared to ask what you’re doing here, or how you even got here in the first place,” Jack laughs as he lets you inside his house. You look around, seeing the TV on with some random hockey game playing, and a bag of chips opened on the coffee table. “Does Z know?”
“No, but this time he’ll probably figure it out by himself.” You roll your eyes.
“Do I have to worry about him showing up at my door tomorrow?” He raised his eyebrows and crosses his arms in front of his chest.
“Maybe,” you shrug. “I don’t care.”
Jack stays quiet for a while, walking towards you with a mischievous expression on his face.
“Are you this desperate, baby?” He whispers. “Are you so needy for something inside that greedy, little pussy of yours that you’ll run from your brother at midnight just to have my dick inside you?”
“Jack,” is all you manage to say, dropping your things on the floor and ending the distance between your bodies.
“Answer me, baby.”
“You already know the answer to that,” you close your eyes, holding the hem of your sweatshirt tightly. “Stop being mean.
“I’m not being mean, baby. I just want to hear you say,” he grins. “Tell me, baby.”
“I’m— I am desperate. I want you so bad I think—” you breathe, opening your eyes to stare at his. “I think I’m going insane.”
“Are you?” He tilts his head. “How so, pretty?”
“I think about you all the time,” you start, pushing your embarrassment aside. “I wake up w-wet, after dreaming about you all night. Everyday before I get up I have to t-touch myself, pretending it’s your hand instead of mine down there.”
Jack leans closer and kisses your neck, inhaling your perfume right after, before squeezing your waist, hard. “Is that so, baby?”
“Mhm.”
“Then you’re not the only one going insane,” he mumbles against your lips. “Because I think about you all the fucking time too. I’ve always cared for you, and you know this, baby, but you grew up and suddenly you’re not Z’s little sister anymore, you’re a fucking woman. And I want you so fucking bad, Sarah.”
You can feel his dick hardening beneath his pants and you try to get closer, even if it’s physically impossible.
“You drive me fucking crazy when you wear those little things that you call skirts, or when you wear those bikinis so fucking tight your tits look edible,” he chuckles. “When you asked me to teach you how to fuck? Sarah, you gave me everything I’ve ever wanted on a silver platter. All I could think about was fucking you.”
“Then do it,” you whisper. “Fuck me, Jack.”
“Sarah—”
“Don’t think about anything else,” you continue, running your fingers through his chest. “Just fuck me, please.”
“Fine,” he smirks. “I’ll give you what you want.”
𖧷
JACK IS absolutely gorgeous and you’re just one single step away from losing your mind. You had imagined Jack fully naked before, and even seen his dick and all of that, but once again, the entire thing did nothing to the real thing;
Jack has a tanned, toned body, abs that you wanted to wrap your hands around and squeeze— his thighs were toned and probably illegal in, like, forty-six countries at least. His dick was flushed and red, rock hard too, and his lips were slightly parted as he stood naked in the middle of the room.
“You’re such a pretty thing, aren’t you?” He smiles at you, who’s also naked, dangerous and so, so lustful.
You smile and look at him with begging, doe eyes, before mumbling a small thank you— you remembered right before your first “lesson” started, Jack said that consent is sexy, and so is being talkative inside the bedroom. No humming, no nodding; just using your words and, if things got too much, saying “stop” would work just fine.
“Here’s what we’re gonna do tonight, sweetheart,” Jack started, shamelessly jerking off his dick in front of you. “You’re gonna come three times. Once on my tongue, once in my fingers and, finally, once on my cock. Are we clear?”
You whimpered, before whispering a faint “Yes.”
“Very well, baby,” his cocky accent crawled out of his mouth, accentuating the last word. “On the bed, hands and knees," Jack instructed, his voice dripping with dominance.
You scrambled onto the bed, positioning yourself on all fours, your heart pounding with anticipation. You felt vulnerable yet incredibly aroused, your pussy probably leaking against the sheets.
Even with the dim lighting, Jack could probably see how red— everywhere really; your ears, your cheeks, your nose, your knees— and how needy you are. Your pussy was practically dripping, drenched. Jack looked like he wished he could eat you out until you turned into sand in his hands.
And to him, you’re a fucking vision. Face sweaty and anxious, and he could probably tell how much you wanted to move or just do anything, but you were being good and letting Jack dictate what was best for you and oh.
Jack stepped closer to your pliant body on the gigantic bed and caressed it, his fingers tracing a path on your skin; while all you could do was just squirm in place.
“You’re just like a doll,” Jack said, softly but loud enough to make you fucking moan. “So pliant and needy. So easy to play with, even easier to break.”
“Jack.” You whispered, lips wet and shiny.
“You like that, don’t you? Knowing that I can do whatever I want with you, with your body— I’ll mark you up, and then everyone will know how good you are for me and what you let me do with you.”
You shivered under Jack’s touch. He decided to be kind and move his fingers a little bit further down, until he was touching your clenching hole. He heard you hold your breath and he chuckled, finding it cute.
He leaned down on the bed, placing his knees on the floor, and kissing your thighs gently— he slowly made his way to your dripping pussy, his tongue licking all the way from your folds to your hole, making you moan loudly. It had been brief, just a light touch, but your knees got weak just the same.
“Hold yourself tight, baby.” Jack ordered, before diving completely into your hole.
And he ate well. He ate you out like a starved man who hadn’t eat in days as he licked and fucked you with his tongue, leaving you trashing under him— you weren’t even in all fours anymore, your knees had given up a minute or two after Jack inserted his tongue inside you. He was sloppy and messy, his spit practically dripping out his mouth.
“Jack, mhhmm, J-Jack, please.” You whispered, and it’d only encourage him to sink further, deeper inside you.
His hands were holding you roughly, and you knew it would look fucking amazing to see his handprints on your ass later. Oh, you’d ascend.
“‘m gonna… Jack, please, can I—”
“Come for me, pretty,” He said, getting his tongue out of you for just a moment, before diving completely again. You were trashing and whimpering, your eyes were in the back of your head, your mouth was open and there was so much wetness in your lips and. “Come for me like the good girl you are, baby. Come on, make me proud.”
“‘M gonna make you proud, I’m—” You were just a step away from actually yelling, with how loud you were sounding. But then. “Jack, oh.”
Jack stepped away, looking at the mess he’d made: you were flushed, sweaty, your hands holding the sheets for dear life, your hair stuck to your forehead. Your lips were red and wet, saliva running down your chin and your eyes were closed, eyebrows furrowed. Your pussy throbbed between the sheets and your thighs were covered with your cum.
“Baby,” Jack breathed. “You did so well, sweetheart. Look at you, coming like a good girl. Aren’t you my good girl?”
“Y-yes, Jack, yes.” You stated, a small smile on your face, eyes still closed.
“How are you, pretty?”
“Fine. So fucking fine.”
“Good.”
He didn’t give time for you to recover, not really, manhandling you further up the bed. You whimpered but complied, too tired to do anything else; besides, you would do whatever Jack asked you to— too cock drunk to think of anything else. You simply wanted Jack to be satisfied, proud.
Without another word, Jack got up and captured your lips in a slow, ardent kiss. Your mouths moved together gently at first, then more urgently as he deepened the kiss. You melted into the touch, your hands coming up to grip Jack’s shoulders. You moaned softly as you tasted yourself on Jack’s tongue.
He pulled away momentarily, a thread of saliva connecting your lips. "Keep making those sounds and I swear to God, Sarah, you’re not leaving this bedroom today," he breathed, before claiming your mouth once more, kissing you hard, his hand tightening on your waist.
You whimpered into the kiss, your body thrumming with desire. You wanted more, needed more. Breaking the kiss, Jack trailed hot, open-mouthed kisses along your jaw and down your neck, nipping at the sensitive skin with his teeth. You tilted your head back, giving Jack better access, your hands moving up to thread through his silky hair.
Sucking and biting his way down your neck, Jack left a trail of wet, purpled marks, marking you as his. You squirmed under the sensation, a keening whine escaping your throat. "Jack... please," you begged, not sure exactly what you were asking for, but knowing you needed something.
Jack stepped away for a moment, touching your pussy with cold, firm fingers, spreading your slick all over it.
"Shh, I've got you," Jack murmured, continuing his onslaught on your skin.
Jack said nothing as he inserted one finger inside your hotness, a fuck leaving his lips because, fuck, you were tight. He rubbed your clit, side to side, until it mixed with the remains of his saliva, getting it all wet and messy. He inserts another one, making you clench around his index and middle finger.
“You need to relax for me, baby,” Jack whispered, voice gentle once again.
“I’m, I’m— ah,” You moan, voice raspy and soft.
“Come on, pretty.”
You try your hardest— and you hope Jack can tell— and relax, making it easier for both of you. Jack fucks his two fingers inside you, curling them and searching for the thing that’ll have you whimpering under him like a slut.
He finds it after a second or two, making your body move up and up, trying to get away from Jack’s touch and he understands— you had told him it’d been a while (years) since you had sex for the last time and you had just came pretty hard so it was pretty easy for you to get overwhelmed.
Jack wouldn’t have any of it though. “Take it, pretty. If you fucking move again you’re going to take care of yourself alone because I won’t tolerate any fucking brats,” he breathed, watching as you gripped the sheets harder and— tears coming out of your eyes.
“No, no, Jack, please—” you begged and moaned at the same time because, fuck. Jack had just inserted his third finger in you and fuckfuckfuck. “‘m good. I promise. I-I’m good, y-you said it, I’m good, I’ll come, just— Christ, I’m gonna.”
It’s too early for you to be orgasming again, you’re both are aware of it, but; you’re coming and shouting and trashing, your cum coming out of you like you’re fucking squirting. Jack takes his fingers out of you, wiping them in the dark sheets, just to take a good look at you.
“Baby,” Jack whispered, knowing that you were probably deep inside subspace and everything could be too much. “Can you give me one more? Mhm?”
“I-I can’t.”
“How are you feeling, doll?”
“Good,” you whispered, like you were telling Jack a secret.
“Then you can, and you will,” you could hear the smile in his voice, even though you couldn’t see; you had his eyes closed once again. He manhandled you again, arranging you on the bed so your head was laying against the fluffy pillows and your back was on the bed. “You’ll give me one more, baby, and then you can rest. How does that sound, hmm?”
You nodded and just when Jack was about to remind you about your little rule, you opened your eyes and stared so deeply into Jack’s that he forgot about everything for a second. Jack knew he should always get a verbal answer and that he was probably being irresponsible but you seemed to be speaking with him with just a stare and Jack was weak, so, so weak that he just mirrored your action and nodded too.
He lined the tip of his cock with your hole, pushing forward and moaning because even with preparation you were still tight and squeezing his dick and fuck. He sank deeper and deeper until his crotch touched your bottom making you both moan at the same time. Tears were falling from your eyes and your lips were opened, sinful sounds making their way out.
“Fuck,” Jack moaned, resting his forehead on your shoulder. “You’re taking me so well, princess. You were made for me, weren’t you?”
“Ngh—” your eyes were full of tears and you felt his dick twitch inside you. God, he needed to fuck the shit out of you before you exploded.
“I’m gonna fuck you now, baby, okay?” He warned, even though you were like a putty in his arms and he knew it was going to be hard for you to be verbal at that moment; you would need to discuss ways of communicating when you couldn’t properly speak but for now, you’d just try your hardest and hope for the best.
If there is a next time… right?
He put his arms behind yours, locking you up and he then really fucked you. His pace was fast and his thrusts were strong and accurate, hitting your sweet spot every time. You had tears all over your face, saliva all over your mouth and chin, looking like the cheapest fucking whore Jack could ever find. Whining to the point of making Jack’s own head dizzy.
“Ah, ngh, mmgh,” was all you would say, hands almost yanking all of Jack’s hair but he didn’t mind, no, of course not— not when you sounded like a bitch in heat, moans so sweet and delicious that felt like the syrup he liked to add to his breakfast pancakes sometimes. “T-too much, too— mmhmm.”
“Take it, sweetheart,” Jack was thrusting you like your lives depended on it. “Take it like the perfect fucking doll you are, baby, come on, pretty.”
You actually screamed when you came for the third time, almost no cum coming out at all, but your clit felt more sensitive than ever, it was too much and Jack was still hitting your spot like a maniac and Christ—
“You came all over yourself, yeah? Good—” a thrust. “Fucking—” another. “Girl—” another.
Jack kept chasing after his own release and when he felt like he couldn’t hold it anymore, he left your inside just to cum on your tummy. You were fully crying now, sobbing quietly.
Jack looked at you, fondly, feeling his heart beating faster than it ever did. He knew you needed him but he couldn’t leave you dirty, so he lifted himself briefly, just enough to reach his shirt on the nightstand, which he used to wipe the cum, sweat and saliva on your— now— fucked body.
“Shh, baby, I’m here,” Jack whispered, not wanting to overwhelm you even more. He laid down beside you, wrapping your body gently in his arms and laying your head on his chest, covering you both completely with the duvet— that thankfully hadn’t gotten dirty nor wet. “I got you, sweetheart.”
“Was I g-good?” You whispered after a while, voice small and hoarse. Jack chuckled, combing his fingers through your locks.
“Yeah, baby,” he whispered back, placing a gentle kiss on the younger’s forehead, making you lean in closer. “So fucking good.”
You heard a soft hum and it made you smile. There, with your head on his chest, and the warmth of his body close to his, you realised something: you were utterly fucked because you liked Jack Hughes so fucking much.
You started all of this because you wanted to date Zack, and prove to yourself that you can please him in bed, like any other girl.
But in fact, you don’t want to do that anymore.
Phase four of getting Zack to like you. Phase one of getting Jack to like you…?

Thinking ab Dark Boyfriend content… Q, Jack, Trev, they could all have me IDGAF.
An idea has been tickling my brain, dark bf and sweet sunshine gf. He loves her so much, everything he does is out of care and love for her, how sweet she is. Never wants her to get hurt, wants to keep her save and happy and at his side. BUT! That does not mean there aren’t moments where he gets angry… And that angry voice is just so scary!!
You can pick who you want this to be about, but how would that darker side of the boys deal with it if their girl was startled by the yelling, crying and running to hide away bc she can’t take it 🥺
Confirmed would be perfectly happy with every decision in my life if I found myself in the middle of all that goodness together. Borderline drooling at the thought.
I'll pick Q for this though, since I do think he'd be the best at dealing with your emotions and smoothing over situations. He's the most responsible and the most just, calm.
Warnings: slight angst, a softer dark!Quinn, passing out.
Saying that, I think he'd lose it and shout if you were being too selfless and it was having negative impacts on you.
He understands that he can't change you, doesn't want to take your caring side away from you. It's a big part of you and it's a big reason why he adores you, why he generally lets you do anything you need to do for people, even if he's concerned.
But he has limits.
He's been smothering his emotions inside himself, watching as you lose sleep because you want to help someone out. How exhausted you are after constantly staying up for things you aren't even getting thanked for. He understands you aren't doing it for praise and thanks, but you aren't getting a break, aren't getting anything back for what you're doing.
You're getting sick often from the stress and how you're stretching yourself too thin, fists clenching as he watches you sleep, the sweat on your forehead from your fever, the way you can't get comfortable, the way you mumble out words of concern about something else you have to do for someone.
It's driving him insane and he feels helpless. He can't express how mad and upset he is, you're too sweet, too gentle and fragile. You'll turtle and it'll make everything worse. But the frustration builds. It builds and it builds.
It's not until you pass out, hitting your head against the couch from sheer exhaustion, your body weak and waving the white flag, that he loses his shit.
Swearing as he rushes to grab you, trying to shield your body from falling further, you limp in his arms. Cupping your face, staring at you in panic. He's manic, checking everything he can. Your temperature, your pulse, everything. He can't fight the frustration any longer. He's had enough. You're going to end up in the fucking hospital at this rate.
Can't contain his angry words at you when your eyes blink open, his brain not operating like usual, so afraid for your health. His tone rougher and louder than it's ever been in his life. He's just so frustrated. So concerned. Accusing you of being an idiot, yelling about how you have no concern for yourself, angry about how you don't rely on him.
He doesn't process the tears in your eyes until you're fighting in his grip, finally registering the tear tracks on your face, the way your eyes widen, the way you unknowingly take advantage of his shock to run away, stumbling from the after effects of the fainting spell.
Staring at his hands in shock, trying to process how he reacted, the look on your face haunting him, the panic of your reaction overriding all his previous frustration with you. Regret painted on his face.
He's running after you, afraid for your health in your panic. You're in no state to be running after what happened, especially when you're upset. He can't give you space right now. He needs to fix this, to make sure you're okay.
He can't stand to see a look of pure fear on his girl's face. Grabbing blankets and your favourite stuffed rabbit before he gets to you. He knows where you are. He can hear the sobbing coming from the wardrobe. It's your favourite place to be when you're scared of thunder. He can't stand that he's given you another reason to be scared enough to hide there.
The way you look at him when he opens the door.. it feels like his heart is in a vice. Cautiously holding out the stuffed animal and blankets, letting you take them at your own pace. Afraid to touch you, to startle you. But he can't wait. He can't let you spiral.
He's waiting until you cuddle yourself under the blanket, using the rabbit as a defense wall, climbing into the wardrobe himself, cursing softly as he hits his head and limbs, not being built for the space.
He's not afraid to stay in there for hours with you, even if it'll make his muscles ache for a week. Gently leaning his head against your defense wall, his voice cracking as he murmurs his apologies, explaining why he was upset. He needs you to understand, but he also needs to make sure you know how much he regrets even slightly raising his voice.
You didn't deserve his anger, didn't deserve the explosion. He just cares so damn much. It tears him apart watching your health fall off a cliff, but anger was never appropriate. He should've discussed it with you the minute his feelings started bottling up.
He'll apologise every single day of his life for how he reacted, if you need him to. You're the most important thing in his life. He adores how much you care. He just needs you to give him a little of the weight from your shoulders. To let him help you.
He'll stay there until you touch him. Until you lean into him, extending the bunny towards him like your own peace offering, sniffling, but okay.

trevor zegras
adelaide and matt had slept in seeing as neither of them had training or a game.
the thing that woke them up from their nap was when addy’s older brothers best friends voice rang through their apartment.
“addy, are you home?” trevor asked.
trevor knew no limits so he walked straight into the younger girls room ready to jump in her bed. however, he was greeted with a sleep adelaide on top of a sleeping matt rempe
the new york native screamed causing addy and matt to jump out of bed.
upon seeing trevor, adelaide moved away from matt and stood on the side. she slipped a sweater over her head and turned to her brothers friend
“z, what the fuck are you doing here?” addy asked. she threw a shirt at her boyfriend, who simply pulled it on without a word.
“what am i doing? i came here to spend time with my honorary sister and im met with the rangers number one fighter. im concerned addy,” trevor rambled.
matt couldn’t help the smile on his face. after all the stories he’d heard about your brothers, trevor seemed like a true friend.
adelaide’s eyes softened as she lunged at the boy for a hug. “i’m fine z. matty makes me happy, like really happy,”
trevor patted the younger girls head and glared at matt. “that’s all i want addy,”

cole caufield
adelaide was having her monthly catch-up with cole as she cooked dinner for her and matt.
however, half-way through cole had to answer some texts on the team group chat leaving the two in silence.
whilst adelaide was cooking, she failed to notice her boyfriends arrival. the tall canadian stood by the doorway, admiring his girlfriend.
“well don’t you look so pretty,” matt complimented
the taller boy stood behind adelaide and pressed kisses on her neck as she plated their food in front of the camera.
when adelaide looked up she was met with cole’s shocked face. matt looked at her girlfriends phone and stepped back a bit.
“shit. is this what z meant? he mentioned you were seeing someone but i thought you’d tell me!” cole ranted.
“and you. you may be taller than me but i will fight you. god damn addy now i owe trevor $100.” cole muttered before ending the call.

william nylander and matthew knies
adelaide had been having a tough couple of weeks so she took some personal days and flew to toronto without telling anyone.
“adelaide?” willy asked as he saw the girl outside the practice arena.
he noticed her sunken eyes and the frail state her body was in. william immediately rushed to the girl and held her as she broke in his arms.
“come on älskling. you’re coming home with me,” willy asked matthew knies to help him, knowing that you two knew each other.
matthew helped put you in william’s car when your phone started ringing excessively. willy was tempted to ignore it but he didn’t know whether you’d told anyone of your whereabouts so he answered.
“ada!” matt rempe answered on the other side.
“this is william nylander, who are you?” he asked.
matthew urged his teammate to put the phone on speaker and that is what the blonde did.
“i’m matt. is adelaide there?”
“matt who?”
“matt rempe. look i just got back to our apartment and she isn’t here. i’ve called barzy and the martin’s but they haven’t seen her either”, matt rambled.
“she here. she’s in toronto,” willy answered.
“is she okay?” matt’s voice was timid, worried about his girlfriend.
“not really, but i’ll keep her with me for a bit,”
“can you hand her the phone please,”
william turned the phone off speaker and handed it to adelaide.
“matty,” she mumbled.
“hi ada, is willy going to make you feel better?” matt knew how close the two were during their time in toronto. he also knew that other than barzy and tito, willy was the only one who could get her out of a slump.
“willy’s the best. he always looks after me and kniesy’s here too. i miss you,” adelaide smiled at the two leaf players.
“i miss you too princess. get some rest and call me later, i love you,”
“i love you matty,” adelaide ended the call and was about to close her eyes.
“so you share an apartment with matt rempe.” kniesy stated.
adelaide hummed “i share an apartment with my boyfriend,”

brendan brisson
brendan and adelaide were in the latters room playing smash or pass whilst they waited for dinner.
brendan was scrolling through a girls list of hockey players on tiktok as they both shouted out their answers.
“eww i can’t believe people find my brothers attractive,” adelaide groaned seeing jack for the sixth time.
brendan laughed and continued scrolling until they landed on matt rempe.
“oh i’ve seen him on fyp, the girls really seem to like him,” brendan added.
adelaide let out a nervous laugh. “pass. he’s a ranger, i’d be hung,”
of course, the knights prospect read between the lines. “okay forget his team, smash or pass?” he asked.
“well pass, he’s not really my type i guess. i don’t know briss,” adelaide answered truthfully.
brendan scoffed. “i think you’d smash. actually i think you already have,” he accused the girl.
adelaide got off her bed and looked to her best friend. “w-w-what, you’re crazy brendan. why would i hook up with a ranger?”
“i don’t know addy but i think he’s the guy you’re soft launching. i mean when i showed you the picture you started blushing. whenever any of the guys brings your boyfriend up you just say he’s tall. also i saw the way he looked at you at the isles vs rangers game i went to,”
brendan gave his best friend a pointed look.
the girl caved fast confessing everything to brendan from the time she met matt to them living together.
“who else knows?” brendan asked.
“well cole, trevor, my team, kniesy, willy, our parents and braden schneider,” addy answered.
“how do cole and trevor know before me!!” brendan exclaimed.
“they caught us,” adelaide replied sheepishly.

mat barzal and the team
the islanders were out having drinks after their season and to celebrate adelaide's new sponsor.
of course, adelaide celebrated too much as she hung onto mat and slurred her words. her teammates found it amusing as she gave them all advice on their love lives.
"mat. i love you, i really do but i swear if you show up to training camp with a shaved head finding a girlfriend would be the least of your worries," she threatened.
the boys laughed as mat dropped the girl off on their goalie ilya sorokin. the girl then started counting in russian and muttering random curse words causing the others who understood to look at the girl in amusement.
"oh no, i have to factory reset her to english," mat groaned as adelaide began rambling on in different languages intertwining with her sentences.
adelaide then laid her head onto ilya's shoulder. "i miss matt," she mumbled in english. the poor goalie then pointed at his two teammates with the same name, making the girl excited.
"eww, that's not matt. i want to go home to matty," she whined.
matt martin carried the younger girl out the bar as she stumbled over her feet, mumbling about 'matt'. barzy was given her bag as he searched for a contact under that name.
just as he was about to hand the phone back to adelaide, she received a call from 'remmy 🐀'.
"ada, it's 2:30. you told me to call if I don't hear from you at this time," matt answered on the other end.
"are you matt?" barzy asked.
matt straightened up and prepared to head out the door. "yeah, I'm matt. umm is ada alright?"
"she's fine. i mean a little wasted but functioning,"
"i'll come pick her up. i've got her location, i should be there in ten minutes,"
barzy put adelaide's phone in her bag and hung it over his shoulder. "addy, matt's on his way," he told the younger girl, holding a bottle of water to her lips.
despite some having families and significant others, they all waited to ensure that adelaide got home safe even if that meant they walked across the city for her.
the sounds of matt's jeep alerted the crowd and the boy pulled up as close as possible before stepping out.
adelaide smiled at the sight of her boyfriend. she pushed away from her teammate and stumbled into matt's arm, the boy catching his girlfriend.
"matty, look this one and this one has the same name as you!" she exclaimed, pointing at the other two.
matt smiled at adelaide's teammates and fixed his grip around her waist. "come on ada, let's get you in the car and then I'll run you a bath when we get home,"
adelaide’s teammates looked at one another and then at how comfortable the girl was. “bye friends! i’m gonna miss you,” she shouted out the car door.
“is that?” one of the guys asked as they watched the couple drive away.
“yup,” barzy replied.
“with ..”
“we all pretend we don’t know until she tells us,” anders lee told the group before they split.

Gingerbread Man - C. Sturniolo
Tumblr media
-blurb sortaᥫ᭡
a/n: I've had this little idea for days now and I kinda hate it now but I wanted to put something cute out soon so enjoy!!
warning: not proofread
You had spent many Christmas Eves in the Sturniolo household, but this year was the first as Chris's girlfriend.
"Ma, wake up." You'd been fast asleep in Chris's room for hours before he barged in. "if you don't get up I'm gonna get trev in here to... pee on you." Chris was joking but he at least thought it would be enough to trick his girlfriend into waking up.
"what do you want Christopher" you managed to giggle out, being half asleep and all.
"Matt, Nick, and I are doing a last-minute gingerbread house-making challenge, and I want my baby on my team," Chris said that last part in hopes of persuading you to get up. You opened your eyes a bit more to see him walking over with Trevor in hand. He placed the dog on the bed in front of you and gave him a little nudge. "on the count of three, trev, just like we practiced."
You looked at them both in confusion, unknowing to what was to come.
"three...two... ONE!" Chris and Trevor both sent kisses all around your face until you were a giggling mess. "OK OK, -I'M UP, GUYS -STOP IT."
Chris pulls away and twirls out of the bedroom happy his little plan worked. You get up, throw on one of Chris's hoodies that lied on the floor, fixed your hair a bit and the mirror, scooped up Trevor off the bed, and made your way into the kitchen with the boys.
____________
"Chris!! the roof is slipping oh my god!" It was a battle between you and Chris versus Matt and Nick to see who could make the best-looking gingerbread house while one member of each team was blindfolded.
"It a little hard to keep the roof up when I can't see, baby" Chris tried over and over to glue everything and keep it together without falling before the timer runs out.
"okay we wont have a lot of time, so let's just decorate the outside." you handed Chris the piping bag with the pink icing inside and guide his hand to start drawing windows on the side of the house.
"I just have a feeling yours and Chris's house looks like shit right now" Nick yelled from the other side of the counter.
"I actually CAN see and let me just say you and Matt aren't looking so hot right now" You were quick to throw an insult back as this was natural to you after all these years.
"Bro what are you talking about right now, chris got y'all house lookin' like something diseased."
Before you could respond back to Matt's remark, Chris slathered a large swipe of icing across your face. You stand there in utter shock at what Chris had just done. He and Matt burst out in uncontrollable laughter, not seeing it coming.
"STOP what did I miss guys, I cannot stand both of you" Nick shouts unaware as to what's happening.
"no fucking way." you grab the other piping bag off the table and get ready to pour it all over Chris. Just as you are about to get him back, Chris throws his blindfold off and runs down to the living room.
You start running after him "I'm gonna fucking kill you" you say, ready for revenge.
"cant catch me ma, I'm the gingerbread man," he says now running circles around the coffee table while you tried to nag him.
Just after saying this, he tripped over one of trevors toys and right onto the couch. You took this as your chance and straddled his waist to assure he doesn't get back up.
Now that you've got him right where you want him, you pour icing all over his face out of revenge and spite. he reaches out to your sides and starts tickling mercilessly. Unable to keep in your laughter, you surrender and Chris wipes the icing off his face with his shirt.
With you still on top of him, he can't help but pull you into a kiss. You grab his face and deepen into the kiss, still giggling into his lips.
"You're a shit gingerbread man Chris," you say before going right back into the kiss.
He pulls away ready to say his snark remark before a pillow hits you both. You both turn in the direction the pillow seemed to come, seeing Matt and Nick looking back in disgust
"Can you freaks get up so we can finish the video please"

Late Night Talking - Trevor Spengler x Reader
Love note from Nina: Aaaand I’m back again with some more Finnie cuteness and filth, lovelies. My boy Trevor is way too underrated around here, so it’s about damn time we turn those tables.
Pairing: Trevor Spengler (Ghostbusters Afterlife/Frozen Empire) x f!reader
Warnings: mostly smut, but also some fluff. Also maybe this is kinda long (?) sorry not sorry etc
Summary: you visit the Spengler’s residence for a dinner party and end up having a lot more fun than you intended, if you know what I mean
Edit: part 2 here
Tumblr media
Your mom and Mrs. Spengler had become best friends, all of a sudden - neither of them had had much luck on that when they moved to the city, but ever since they first met in a 7/11 a month ago, they were inseparable.
It was a Saturday evening, and your mom was dragging you along to Mrs. Spengler’s house, for a dinner party of some sort. You weren’t in the mood, but she seemed so happy to finally have a new friend, you just couldn’t say “no” to her.
So, all dressed up in a cute black dress and strap sandals, you rang the doorbell.
- Oh, hello - a tall lanky boy with messy black hair opened the door. - Good evening, Mrs. y/l/n… And you must be y/n, right?
You nodded, smiling sweetly, as your mom greeted the boy as well.
- Hi, Trevor! Your mom told me all about you - she said, giving him a warm hug after she handed you the huge cake tray she was holding.
It was pretty heavy - your mom wouldn’t show up to dine at someone’s house without bringing dessert - but you could manage to hold it.
- Callie, there you are! - she squealed as she hurried to meet Mrs. Spengler in the kitchen, leaving you and Trevor behind.
- She loves your mom - you said to Trevor, chuckling.
- My mom loves yours too - he chuckled. - Hey, can I help you with that? - he continued, gently taking the cake tray off of your hands.
- Thank you Trev, that was quite heavy - you said, relieved. - Should we bring that to the kitchen?
So you both put the cake in the fridge and helped your moms with everything - from setting the table to organizing the kitchen.
You had a great time eating and talking to Callie, Trevor and his sister, Phoebe. After dinner was over, the moms opened up a bottle of wine and sat on the living room to talk, while Phoebe went to her room to sleep.
That left you and Trevor alone in the kitchen, talking. It was already close to midnight, and by the laughs you could hear from the couch, you were not going to leave the Spengler’s home for a long time. Halloween was just around the corner, so you asked Trevor if he was into horror movies.
- Hm, kind of… - he responded, finishing his glass of soda. - I think they’re way too unrealistic sometimes.
- Ugh, wish I felt like that too… Movies like Poltergeist and The Conjuring totally freak me out. I’m just afraid of ghosts, I guess.
Trevor nearly choked, but you couldn’t understand why.
- Do you like slasher movies though? - he asked, trying to move on with the conversation.
- Yeah, I love them! - you answered, excitedly. - My favorite one is Friday The 13th!
- The first one?
- The best one, right?
- Absolutely - he laughed, then pointing to your moms in the living room - I think they’re gonna take a while there… Wanna go upstairs and watch a movie? It can be Friday the 13th if you want.
- Of course, I’d love that! - you said and walked over to the living room with him.
- Mom, Trevor and I are going upstairs to watch a movie, ok?
- Sure darlings, go there and befriend! - your mom agreed, her voice sounding a bit different already. Good thing you were driving.
You two went up the stairs to Trevor’s room, still talking about horror movies and your personal favorites; but you noticed he would talk just as excitedly about any subject. The conversation was light and comfortable. Trevor was so nice to talk to. He was also really good looking. Something about his lanky figure, dark hair and dark eyes really stood out to you.
Up in his room, you couldn’t help but walk around and notice the various objects he had in there.
- Whoa, do you like Arctic Monkeys?
- Their “AM” album is, like, most of my will to live. - he chuckled. - So yeah, I like them a bit.
- That’s an instant classic if I’ve ever seen one, right?
Turns out, you and Trev had A LOT in common. You were into the same movies, the same music and even the same places to hang out. He was working up the courage to ask you on a date already.
- So, uh… y/n, would you… would you like to go to that record store downtown with me… Sometime? It doesn’t have to be like a date or-
You put your index finger to his lips, and his eyes went wide.
- But can it be a date, though? - you whispered, your finger leaving his lips as you put your hand on his cheek.
- S-sure - he stuttered. He was much taller than you, even with the heels you were wearing.
- I would love to - you smiled, your hand still on his cheek. - I could talk with you all night if you’d let me.
- Me too - he smiled, putting his arm around your waist and leaning in a bit. - Y/n… can I-can I kiss you? Or does asking that totally ruin the mood?
- Of course you can! - you laughed. - C’mere.
You leaned in and your lips touched his, lightly. You touched your forehead to his and looked him in the eyes. He pulled you even closer by your waist and kissed you again, way more eagerly this time. His tongue asked for entrance and you permitted it, in pure ecstasy.
- Hm - he broke the kiss - maybe we could move this over there? - he said, his head pointing to an armchair on the corner of his room. You nodded, your lips parted and swollen from the kiss.
Trevor sat down on the armchair and you sat nearly on his lap, but sideways, so your butt was down on the armchair and your legs were all over his lap.
He put his hands on your bare knees and caressed them gently as you continued to kiss, more slowly than before. Your dress was a few inches above your knees. Nothing too modest or too slutty, but Trevor secretly wished you were wearing the sluttiest dress possible, just so he could feel you up without actually lifting up your dress and risking getting slapped across the face.
Little did he know you were craving that touch. You lightly guided his hands a bit further up your thighs, giving him the permission he wanted. To touch your soft skin and get intoxicated by you.
You kept kissing him passionately, your hands wandering from his cheek to his neck to his chest. You grabbed the collar of his T-shirt and pulled him even closer, wanting to savor him as much as you could. He let out a soft moan on your lips, so discreet you wouldn’t be able to hear it if you two weren’t all the way upstairs in his room.
Things were getting hot and heavy pretty quickly, but isn’t it always like that when you’re young? His hands were gently caressing your upper thighs for a minute, as if he was mentally debating a way to ask you to take off your dress, but gave up on that idea.
His slender fingers gently slid your panties to the side, only to meet your soaking wet pussy. You hissed and moaned in his mouth as he kissed you hungrily while slowly playing with your clit. His touch was so light, it made you ache for more; but at the same time, it was perfect. He continued for a couple minutes, your moans in his ear increasing. That had to be Trevor’s new favorite sound.
- Trev - you called, your voice faint and breathy. He looked into your eyes. His gaze was dark and full of lust. His swollen red lips were slightly parted, ugh, he was so beautiful… - If you keep going, I-I…
But you couldn’t finish that sentence. Your back arched and your mouth cracked open, your body completely taken by that orgasm. Your eyes were closed for most of the time, squeezed in pleasure, but when you peeked through them to look at Trevor’s face, he was grinning like the devil. He got you good and he knew he did.
- You’re so pretty - he said, mesmerized, his fingers still touching your pussy until you closed your legs and he realized you had ridden out of your orgasm. - and you look even prettier when you cum.
You sat there in his lap for a moment, head on his shoulder, resting a little from such an intense sensation. Trevor had quite a cocky smile plastered on his face, seeming proud of himself for making a pretty girl cum. For getting the chance to make a pretty girl cum and succeeding.
- Alright, so not only you’re all tall and handsome and stuff, but you also got magic hands? - you said, your hair ruffled and your voice breathy.
- Magic hands? Really? - he laughed.
- I’m serious. - you said, laughing with him. - But now I feel the need to… reciprocate, you know?
Trevor’s breathing quickened. You sat on his lap properly now, one leg to each side of his waist, straddling him while cupping his face for another round of passionate kissing.
His kisses found their way down to your neck, gently nipping on your skin, making you shiver and squirm. His fingers started toying with your dress’ straps until he felt confident enough to pull them down slowly.
The black lacy bra you were wearing underneath was beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but the sight of your breasts is what made his mouth water. With your dress already down to your waist, he put his arms around you to try and unhook your bra. As boys normally do, it took him a few tries, but he finally got it off of your body, his hands quickly covering your breasts again, fondling them.
Your skin was so soft and smelled so good, his kisses returned to your neck and continued their way down to your chest. Your nipples were so hard already, he simply had to take them in his mouth. One at a time, he licked and sucked gently, earning some pretty urgent moans. You knew you had to keep the volume down so your mothers wouldn’t hear you two, but that couldn’t stop you from moaning softly, just enough for him to hear. Your body was a feast and he had never been this hungry in his whole life.
- I-I thought it was my turn, Trevor - you said, softly, his lips still kissing the skin around your nipples and his hands groping your waist firmly. Damn, this boy was definitely going to drive you crazy.
Kissing his lips once again, you reached for the hem of his T-shirt and slowly pulled it upwards. He helped you take his shirt off, and his bare chest was surely a sight to be seen. Back to the kissing, your hands now wandered from his cheek, to his neck, to his chest, to his belly and…
- A-are you sure? - he asked, as you were about to touch his belt to unbuckle it. He didn’t want to pressure you into anything.
- I am pretty sure - you said with a smile, playfully kissing his nose. - Can I?
He nodded eagerly, so you unbuckled his belt, unzipped his pants and pulled them down. Trevor just sat still and watched as your beautifully manicured nails were touching his belt, then his pants, then his underwear.
You knelt down in front of him, using a pillow under your knees for comfort, and pulled his body closer to the edge of the armchair. You kissed his lips one last time, then his neck, scratching his chest lightly with your long nails, causing him to moan and bite his lips to avoid making too much noise.
You kissed down his chest, your nails now scratching his waist, and finally got to his underwear.
- Can I pull these down too? - you said, your big eyes pleading.
- Yeah - he said, barely breathing. - Please.
You gave him a naughty smile and pulled down his boxers. It was impossible not to lick your lips at the sight of that cock. The perfect length, the perfect girth, and that perfect pinky tip begging to be sucked. So you did it.
You took Trevor into your mouth hungrily, as your mouth was already watering just by taking his underwear off. Your head was bobbing up and down his thick shaft, as he tried his best to hold back any louder moans.
Suddenly, he grabbed some of your hair in his right hand and pulled your mouth off of his dick gently.
- Did I hurt you? - you said, looking worried.
- No, no, princess - he answered, scared that he might’ve offended you. - It’s just… you’re so so good… and so pretty… I’m afraid I won’t last, you know?
- It’s ok babe - you reassured him, caressing his bare knee. - You pleasured me selflessly, and I’m doing the same. If you want to cum now, then do it. I’d love to get a taste…
Your mouth went right back to sucking on his dick, your both hands now also added into the mixture. After a minute or two, it was too much for him to take.
- Y/n - he called, softly. You looked him in the eyes, mouth still around his shaft. You knew what was going to happen next. - I just… Please, can I cum in your mouth?
- Mhm - you agreed, not slowing down or stopping anything you were doing.
Trevor let out a muffled groan as he came in your mouth. You swallowed his warm seed at once, gently licking his tip clean afterwards.
- Fuck, you’re a goddess - he said, his voice faint, his eyes rolling.
You laughed a little and wiped the corners of your mouth.
- And you’re a darling. I’m glad you could trust me.
- Y/n - your mom called out from downstairs. - Is the movie over already? I think we should get going…
- In a minute, mom - you yelled in response.
You turned back to Trevor as he handed you your bra and put his own shirt back on.
- I had a great time with you today, Trev. Hope we can hang out sometime.
- Of course, I’ll text you - he started - there are already so many places I thought we could go together… You might just be the best company for basically everything. Specially late night talking.
You grabbed his phone off his desk, typed in your number and handed him the phone. Realizing what you just did, he smiled and held out his hand so you would give him your phone and let him do the same.
After the exchange of phone numbers and a quick good night kiss, you two got downstairs and pretended nothing had happened.
- There you are - Callie said as she saw both of you. - What did you guys watch?
- Friday the 13th - Trevor lied for both of you. - It was her favorite horror movie, and one of my favorites too.
- Aw, how cute. I’m glad you guys are friends now - your mom said, grabbing her purse. - But those old slashers have some awkward sex scenes, don’t they? We heard their moaning from down here.
- Glad they make movies more gory and less sexually charged nowadays, right? - Callie agreed.
Your moms were drunk and probably wouldn’t remember much about tonight. Thankfully, ‘cause your face and Trevor’s got just as flushed as if you had spent the entire night sipping wine.

California Lovin' - Quinn Hughes
Tumblr media
Summary: quinn's new fling has an... interesting history
content: CHEATING (it's like the majority of the plot, so...), implied sex but no smut, heavy make out, angst (lots of it), cliffhanger
wc: 6.4k
notes: hey! maybe this is cliché. idk... but i wanna state that you're not really supposed to like izzy or be cheering for her. you'll see!! she has some likable characteristics but don't let her fool you...
Isabelle Abbott was the kind of girl who turned heads without even trying. Sun-kissed blonde hair that seemed to fall perfectly no matter how she styled it, legs that went on for miles, and a smile so effortlessly bright it could make you forget what you were saying mid-sentence. She had that kind of charm that made her seem both unattainable and approachable all at once.
She wasn't just beautiful; she was magnetic. The type of girl you'd expect to see on the arm of someone like Trevor Zegras.
They'd been official for just over a year, long enough that her presence had become a constant in his life. She'd been there for the big wins and the tough losses, the nights out with his teammates, and the quiet nights spent on their sofa. Izzy knew all his quirks--the way he tapped his stick twice before every faceoff, the bad jokes he told when he was nervous (something that rarely happened), the playlists he swore were good.
And just as importantly, she knew his friends.
Trevor had wasted no time introducing her to the core group of guys who meant the most to him: his teammates, his childhood buddies, and the Hughes brothers.
She'd met Jack first, a whirlwind introduction at a bar last summer when Trevor had dragged her out to meet "the boys." Jack, all grins, had immediately taken to her, cracking jokes and trying to get a rise out of her like they'd known each other for years.
Then there was Luke, quieter but just as sharp and sarcastic as Jack. Izzy had a soft spot for Luke; he reminded her of Trevor in his less flashy moments.
And finally, Quinn. She'd only met him a handful times compared to his brothers, but he still stood out. He wasn't as loud or playful as Jack and Trevor, but that made him all the more interesting. He wasn't the kind to fill silences with mindless chatter. When Quinn spoke, it was deliberate, like every word mattered.
Trevor thought Quinn was the greatest thing to ever happen to the world. Always trying to make him laugh but also teasing him relentlessly.
So when Trevor suggested that the three boys come stay with them in California for a week during the offseason, Izzy had been all for it.
"C'mon," he'd said, leaning against the kitchen counter while Izzy poured herself a drink. "It'll be fun. You like them, right?"
Izzy laughed. "I've only met them a couple of times, Trev. But sure, it sounds great."
"Trust me, you'll love it," he nodded, crossing the kitchen to wrap his arms around her waist. "We'll hit the beach, throw a party... You can show them what California living is all about."
She'd agreed without hesitation, jumping at the opportunity to play tour guide. But she didn't realize that the week ahead would be anything but carefree.
~~
The boys had only been in California for three days, but Trevor had wasted no time planning a party that would be, in his words, "one for the books."
The house was packed. Music blared and energy seemed to buzz from every corner. Friends, teammates, and a few faces no one seemed to recognize mingled in the open-concept living space, spilling out onto the backyard patio where string lights twinkled over their hot tub.
Quinn sat on the arm of the sofa, nursing a beer and half-listening to what Jack was talking about with one of their fellow hockey players. His attention kept wandering, and somehow always landing on... her.
Izzy moved through the crowd like she belonged there, laughing at something one of her and Trevor's friends said as she brushed a strand of blonde hair over her shoulder. She wore a sundress, the kind that fit her frame in a way that was impossible not to stare at.
She was radiant, and Quinn hated himself for noticing. But it wasn't just her looks that caught his eye--it was her laugh and the way her gaze kept finding him, even when it shouldn't have.
Quinn told himself he was imagining it. Izzy was Trevor's girlfriend, for God's sake. She wasn't looking at him like that. But every time he'd catch her glances, there was a moment--a flicker of something dangerous.
It made him feel sick to the stomach.
"Yo, you good?" Jack nudged him, bringing him back to the conversation.
"Yeah... sorry. Zoned out. What were you saying?" He focused on his brother, on anything but the girl across the room who was making it impossible to breathe properly.
Hours later, the party was still going strong. Trevor was in his element, leading the crowd in some ridiculous drinking game while Izzy stood by his side, laughing at him. Quinn tried to keep his distance, sticking with Jack and Luke, but as the night wore on, the crowd thinned, and it became harder to avoid her.
It happened in the kitchen. Quinn had gone to grab another beer, hoping the cool air coming through the open window would clear his head. Instead, he found Izzy already there, drink in hand.
"Quinn," she smiled. "Hiding out?"
"Not hiding," he said neutrally. "Just grabbing a drink."
She smiled, tilting her head. "You don't seem like the party type."
"I... I guess I'm not," he admitted.
Izzy laughed softly. "I figured." She stepped closer, and Quinn's pulse picked up. She wasn't doing anything overtly inappropriate--just standing near him--but the air felt charged.
"You've been quiet the last few days," she said, her tone casual but her eyes anything but. "Is something wrong?"
Quinn shook his head, gripping the neck of his beer bottle tighter than necessary. "Nope. Everything's fine."
"You sure?" she pressed. Her eyes lingering on him, the corners of her lips turning up in a knowing smile.
"I'm sure." He took a step back, desperately needing the space to breathe. "Shouldn't you be with Trevor?"
Izzy shrugged. "He's busy winning at every drinking game ever. I don't think he's even noticed I'm gone."
Quinn didn't respoind, his throat tight. He could feel her eyes on him, searching, waiting.
"Quinn," she said softly. "You don't have to avoid me, you know."
"I'm not--"
"Yeah, you are." She smiled again, but this time it felt different--sharper, more deliberate. "I've noticed."
The silence stretched between them, heavy and suffocating.
Before Quinn could figure out what to say, Izzy stepped back, brushing past him as she moved toward the door. "I'll see you later," she said over her shoulder.
Quinn exhaled slowly, the beer in his hand long forgotten.
~~
By the time the party started winding down, the house was a mess of empty cans and discarded plastic cups. Trevor was out cold on the living room couch, one arm draped over his face and a lopsided grin still frozen in place from whatever dream he was having. Jack and Luke were somewhere outside in the yard, their laughter carrying faintly through the screen door onto the patio.
Quinn felt like a ghost, floating through the night with a dull buzz in his head. He wasn't drunk, not completely, but he wasn't sober either. He just wanted to crash. The beer he'd been nursing for at least the past hour dangled loosely in his hand as he trudged down the hallway, trying to remember which room Trevor said the brothers could use.
He opened the wrong door.
The overhead light was off, but the soft glow of a bedside lamp illuminated the room. Quinn blinked, realizing too late that this was the master bedroom--Trevor and Izzy's room.
"Quinn?"
Her voice startled him. She was sitting on the edge of the bed, barefoot, her dress wrinkled from the night. A half-empty glass of wine sat on the nightstand, her blonde hair spilling over one shoulder like Rapunzel.
"Shit, sorry," he said quickly, backing toward the door. "I didn't--uh--I thought this was--"
Izzy smiled faintly, waving him off. "It's fine. You're not the first one to stumble into the wrong room tonight." She studied him for a moment. "You okay?"
"Yeah... just tired."
"Me too," she admitted, gesturing to the wine glass. "Figured I'd stay out of the way while Trevor passed out. He's got a talent for snoring really fucking loudly."
Quinn chuckled, leaning against the doorframe. "Sounds about right."
"Do you not like me or something?" Izzy asked suddenly, her voice light, but with a certain edge to it. "I get the feeling I make you uncomfortable or something."
Quinn frowned, completely caught off guard. "What? No. It's not that."
"Then what is it?"
Quinn felt the familiar sickness in his stomach--the way she commanded his attention with such ease. The alcohol in his system dulled the part of his brain screaming at him to leave, to walk away.
"It's nothing."
Izzy didn't look convinced. "You're not a very good liar, Quinn."
He exhaled, running his free hand through his hair. "Look, you're Trevor's girlfriend. I don't--this isn't--"
She stood then, stepping closer, and his breath hitched. Her bare feet made no sound on the rug, but in his mind she might as well have been stomping.
"You didn't answer my question," she teased.
"I don't think I should be here."
Izzy reached out, her fingers brushing his arm. "Why not?"
The contact sent a jolt through him that made his heart race. "Because," he said, his voice rough, "this is your room. Trevor's room."
She didn't step back. If anything, she moved closer, the scent of her perfume wrapping around him, dizzying and sweet. "Trevor's asleep," she said, her voice low, like a confession.
"That's not the point," Quinn said, though his voice lacked conviction.
"You're so serious all the time. Has anyone ever told you that?"
"Yeah," he mumbled, trying to focus on anything but her face.
"I kind of like it," she said, her hand dropping to her side but her gaze still fixed on him.
Quinn shook his head, trying to clear the fog that had settled over him. "Izzy, I should go."
"Then go," she said simply, but there was a challenge in her tone, like she knew he wouldn't.
And he didn't.
Before he could stop himself, his hand was on her waist, pulling her closer. The kiss was clumsy at first--driven by the alcohol coursing through their veins. Her hands found his shoulders, his neck, threading into his hair as he backed her up against the edge of the bed.
"Quinn," she murmured against his lips, her voice breathless.
His mind screamed at him to stop, to pull back, but his body wouldn't listen. He pressed her down onto the mattress, his weight pinning her beneath him as their movements grew more desperate, more frantic.
It was reckless. Stupid.
Unforgivable.
But in that moment, it didn't matter.
~~
It was months before they saw each other again. Months since the night at the party, since Quinn had told himself it was a mistake, a one-time lapse in judgement that would--could--never happen again.
He'd done everything he could to push it out of his mind. He didn't think about the way her lips tasted like expensive wine, or the way her nails had dragged across his skin. He didn't think about the way she'd looked at him in the aftermath, her chest rising and falling as if she'd won some unspoken challenge.
Quinn had convinced himself he'd moved on, that he could face her without feeling like his lungs had collapsed.
But now, standing outside the visitor's locker room at the Honda Center, waiting for the postgame media shuffle to finish, he realized how wrong he'd been.
He hadn't expected to see her. He wasn't even sure if she went to Trevor's games, but when he spotted her in the stands during warmups, it felt like he'd forgotten how to breathe. She'd been sitting near the glass with some of the other WAGs, smiling and waving at Trevor, looking just as amazing as he remembered.
Maybe even more so.
"Stop it," he'd muttered to himself, forcing his eyes back to the ice.
He hadn't said a word to her, hadn't even looked her way since he spotted her. But as the hallway finally cleared and Quinn started toward the bus back to the hotel, a voice stopped him cold.
"Quinn."
He turned before he could think better of it. She was standing a few feet away, dressed in a simple white blouse and dark jeans that clung to her legs. Her hair was loose, falling over her shoulders, and she had that same unreadable expression--the one that made him feel like puking.
"Izzy," he said flatly. "What are you doing here?"
Her smile was small, almost coy. "It's a Ducks game, Quinn. Where else would I be?"
He glanced down the hallway, as if Trevor might appear out of nowhere. "You shouldn't be here."
"Relax," she said, crossing her arms. "Trevor's still in the locker room. He takes a long postgame shower."
Quinn exhaled, shaking his head. "I don't have time for this."
"For what?" she asked, stepping closer.
"This." He gestured vaguely between them, his voice sharp. "Whatever you think you're doing."
Izzy's smile faltered, but only for a moment. She tilted her head, studying him with that same unsettling intensity. "You're still mad about the summer, aren't you?"
Quinn's jaw tightened. "I'm not mad."
"Really? Because you seem mad."
"I'm not," he insisted, though the heat in his chest told a different story. "I just--I don't want anything to do with this, Izzy. What happened was a mistake."
She took another step forward, standing right in front of him. "You keep saying that."
"Because it's true."
"Then why are you still standing here?"
Quinn didn't have an answer for that.
Izzy reached out, her fingers brushing lightly against his forearm. It was a small gesture, but it sent a shiver down his spine. "You can tell yourself whatever you want, Quinn," she whispered. "But that didn't stop you last time."
His eyes looked into hers, sharp and conflicted. "I should have."
"But you didn't."
Then tension was suffocating. Quinn could feel any walls he'd built up crumbling down, one by one, every second he spent standing there with her.
"This isn't fair," he said, his voice strained.
"Life's not fair, Quinn."
She looked around, stepping even closer, her hand sliding up his chest. He should have walked out of the building without looking back.
But then she rose onto her toes, her lips brushing against his jaw, and his mind blanked.
"What about Trevor?" he asked weakly.
"I'll tell him I'm getting drinks with the girls... and we can go to your hotel," she murmured, her lips now at the corner of his mouth.
And just like last time, before he could think, his hands were on her hips, pulling her flush against him. Their lips crashed together, desperate and heated, all the tension returning.
Quinn backed her against a wall, fingers tangling in her hair as the kiss deepened. Somewhere, deep in the back of his mind, a voice screamed at him to remember who she was, who he was betraying.
But he ignored it.
He'd always ignore it when it came to Izzy.
~~
It became routine.
Every time Quinn and Izzy crossed paths, they found a way to each other. Whether it was after a game or an impromptu hangout the boys had when their schedules aligned, it was like clockwork. Quinn stopped pretending to resist, and Izzy didn't bother to hide her intentions anymore.
The thrill was addictive. Dangerous.
It wasn't just about the physical attraction anymore, though that part was undeniable. The heat between them was impossible to ignore, but it was the stolen glances, the late-night whispers, and the texts that came at all hours that made it impossible to walk away.
They texted constantly, their conversations ranging from innocent to anything but.
Iz: big game tomorrow... don't choke Q: Big game for Trevor, you mean Iz: aren't you just adorable when you're jealous Q: Not jealous. Just don't know why you're texting me when he's probably laying right beside you Iz: maybe i just like talking to you more
Quinn rolled his eyes every time she said things like that, but it didn't stop him from replying.
~~
It wasn't planned. It never was.
Quinn found her waiting for him in a dimly lit hallway leading to the parking garage, her arms crossed casually as if she belonged there.
"What're you doing?" he asked, glancing around nervously.
"Seeing you," she said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
"Trevor's gonna be looking for you."
Izzy smirked. "He won't notice. He's too busy bragging about the goal he scored."
Quinn frowned, but his resistance was already wearing thin. "Relax," she whispered. "No one's gonna know."
He sighed. "Iz, you need to stop doing this."
"Doing what?"
"This. You have to end it. End things with Trevor."
"We've been over this."
"And I'm serious. This isn't fair to anyone involved."
"You think I don't know that?" she blinked.
"Then why don't you stop?"
"Why won't you?" she countered.
Quinn opened his mouth to respond, but before he could, her lips were on his, silencing whatever argument he was about to make. It didn't matter how many times it happened--every touch felt like the first, and every kiss made it harder to remember why he'd even tried to resist.
~~
Trevor wasn't blind.
He'd noticed the way Izzy's phone was practically glued to her hand lately, the way she'd smile faintly at the screen before locking it when he asked what was so funny.
He wasn't the kind of guy to get jealous, though. Izzy loved him--he knew that. She'd been with him through the highs and lows of the past year, and she wasn't the type to mess around.
At least, that's what he told himself.
Still, the little things nagged at him. Like the time he caught her texting someone late at night and she brushed it off as her "group chat." Or the way she seemed to get a little too excited when they were scheduled to play in Vancouver.
"Everything okay?" he asked one night as they sat on the couch, her legs thrown over his lap.
"Of course, baby," she looked up from her phone.
"You've been on that thing a lot lately."
Izzy shrugged, setting the phone aside. "Just keeping up with people. You know how it is."
Trevor nodded, forcing a smile. He didn't want to push it. He didn't want to be that guy.
But later that night, as Izzy lay curled up beside him, her phone lighting up with a notification she didn't check, Trevor couldn't help but wonder who she was talking to so often.
~~
The next time Quinn brought it up, they were tangled in the sheets of a hotel room, the scent of her perfume still clinging to his skin.
"You have to end things with him."
Izzy sighed, propping herself up on one elbow to look at him. "We've talked about this."
"And I'm going to keep talking about it," he said, his jaw tight. "You can't keep doing this to him. Or me."
"I love him, Quinn."
"Stop saying that," he snapped, his voice harsher than he intended.
"It's true," she continued calmly. "Just because this is happening doesn't mean I don't love him."
Quinn stared at her oddly. "If you loved him, you wouldn't be here."
Izzy didn't respond right away, mindlessly drawing shapes on Quinn's bicep. When she finally spoke, her voice was quiet. "Maybe I'm selfish," she admitted. "Maybe I want too much. But that doesn't mean I don't care about him."
Quinn looked away. He hated how easily she justified it, how effortlessly she made him doubt his own convictions.
And he hated that, despite everything, he couldn't bring himself to let her go.
~~
Jack's invitation to the lake house was supposed to be simple--just a week of relaxation before the grind of training camps began. It was a tradition, one Trevor always looked forward to. But when he told Izzy about it, her reaction was electric.
"A lake house?" she said, her eyes lighting up. "That sounds amazing!"
"You'll love it, Iz," Trevor promised, pecking her lips. "You know the boys are a good time. You'll get along great with their mom too--she usually comes to check on us for a day or two.
Izzy was already planning her outfits by the time Trevor texted Jack back with a yes.
For Quinn, the news hit like a punch to the gut.
The idea of spending days in close quarters with Izzy was enough to make his head spin. He knew how she was--playful, bold, and dangerously good at making everything seem innocent. She had a way of looking at him when no one else was watching, a flicker of heat in her eyes that sent him into fight or flight.
And now he'd have to spend days around her, watching her with Trevor.
He could already picture it: Izzy lounging on the dock in a bikini, laughing at Trevor's jokes like she hadn't cheated on him multiple times. The thought made him sick, but it wasn't just jealousy--it was guilt.
She acted so in love with Trevor, so infatuated with him, like she wasn't betraying him every tim she texted Quinn late at night or met him in hotel rooms after games.
It wasn't fair, not to Trevor, not to him, and not to her.
But Izzy didn't seem to care about fair.
~~
Izzy practically bounced out of the car when they arrived, her sunglasses perched on top of her head and her tote bag slung over her shoulder. "This place is fucking stunning, Trev!" she exlaimed, spinning around to take it all in.
Trevor laughed. "Told you."
Quinn hung back as they entered the house, his chest tight as Izzy greeted Jack with a hug and her perfect smile. Luke gave her a quick wave before disappearing into the kitchen, and Quinn could already hear voices floating around him.
"Quinn," Trevor said, clapping him on the shoulder. "This is gonna be fun, man. Loosen up a bit, will ya."
"Yeah... fun."
~~
From that moment on, Izzy played the part of the perfect girlfriend.
She was all smiles and affection, her laughter filling the house like sunlight. She and Trevor were inseperable--always touching, always smiling, always wrapped up in each other like they couldn't bear to be apart.
She sat on his lap at breakfast, stealing bites of his toast and feeding him pieces of fruit while everyone else groaned about the PDA. She looped her arms around his neck whenever they were standing still, leaning in to kiss him without hesitation.
When they lounged by the lake, she curled up beside him on a towel, her head resting on his chest while he lazily traced circles on her back.
It was infuriating.
To anyone else, they looked perfect together--young and in love, the kind of couple that made people smile. But Quinn knew better. He knew what it felt like to have Izzy's hands on him, her lips against his, her whispered promises that didn't mean anything but still managed to undo him.
And now, here she was, acting like none of it had ever happened.
~~
Quinn wasn't sure if she was doing it on purpose at first.
The way she walked around in nothing but bikini bottoms and one of Trevor's oversized T-shirts, the hem just barely grazing the top of her thighs. They way she brushed past him in the hallway, her fingers grazing his arm like it was an accident.
But then there were the moments that felt too deliberate to ignore.
Like the time she came back from the dock, her skin damp and glistening from the lake, her tiny bikini barely covering her body. She passed Quinn on her way to the kitchen, her fingers toying with the string of her top as if she was adjusting it.
"You're looking a little sunburned," she said, her voice light and teasing. "Need some sunscreen?"
He gritted his teeth, staring at the table in front of him. "I'm fine."
Izzy smiled, lingering just long enough to make him uncomfortable before turning and heading toward Trevor, her laughter floating back to him like a challenge.
It only seemed to get worse as time went on.
She'd stretch out on the dock in the smallest swimsuits Quinn had ever seen, her body bathed in sunlight as she flipped through books or scrolled on her phone. When Trevor leaned down to kiss her, she'd reach up to tug him closer, her laughter sickeningly sweet as she teased him about his tan lines.
And yet, she never stopped looking at Quinn.
Every time he looked her way, she was already watching him, her eyes sparkling. When they passed each other in the house, she'd tilt her head just slightly, holding her bottom lip between her teeth.
The worst was when she leaned over him during a game of cards, pretending to reach for her drink. Her hand brushed his arm, her boobs were practically in his face, and Quinn had to pretend he wasn't staring right at them.
"Something wrong, Quinn?" she's whispered.
"Maybe you should worry less about me and more about Trevor," he spat back under his breath.
Quinn felt like he was unraveling. He tried to avoid her, but she was everywhere, always just within reach, always testing him.
Trevor, oblivious as ever, seemed the happiest Quinn had seen him. He spent hours attached to Izzy's side, partnering up for every game, whispering to each other. She laughed at all his jokes like he was the funniest man alive.
Quinn was starting to feel like he hated her. Hated her for what she was doing. But he hated himself more for letting her get to him.
~~
His breaking point happened the afternoon of the fourth day there. The others were down by the dock, preparing the boat for a trip around the lake. Quinn had stayed behind, claiming he needed a break from the sun, though really he just needed space.
He was sitting in his room, trying to focus on the latest book he'd picked up, when the door creaked open. He looked up, heart sinking the moment he saw her.
Izzy stood in the doorway, barefoot and dripping wet from the lake, her hair slicked back. One of Trevor's t-shirts was slung over her shoulder, but she hadn't bothered putting it on.
"What are you doing here?"
"You ask me that a lot," she teased, earning just an eye roll in return. "But I was looking for you." She stepped inside, closing the door behind her.
"You shouldn't be here," he said, standing up.
"Ugh, you keep saying that too."
"Because it's true, Isabelle. They're all right outside. Trevor's right outside."
"So? He's not gonna come looking for me."
Quinn clenched his fists. "Do you enjoy this? Pushing me until I can't think straight? Watching me lose my fucking mind while you play house with him?"
Her smile fell and Quinn thought, for a moment, she might actually leave. But then she stepped closer.
"I'm not trying to hurt you, Quinn."
"Bullshit."
She flinched slightly, but didn't stop moving toward him. "You think this is easy for me?"
"Then stop," he said, his voice breaking. "Stop doing this. Stop looking at me like that. Stop--"
She placed a hand on his cheek and whatever argument he was building went out the window.
~~
Quinn didn't know how they ended up in the bathroom, their lips crashing together. Izzy's hands were on his chest, pulling him closer as the water from the shower rained down around them, soaking his clothes and her bikini.
"I hate you," he muttered against her lips, his hands gripping her hips like he couldn't bear to let go.
"No, you don't," she whispered back, her voice breathless and taunting.
He didn't. That was the problem.
Her fingers tangled in his hair as he pressed her against the tiled wall, the steam from the water quickly filling the air. Every kiss was desperate, frantic, like they were trying to drown out the real world.
Quinn knew it was wrong. He knew what it would do to Trevor if he ever found out, what it was probably already doing to him. But in that moment, with Izzy's body pressed against his and her lips on his neck, he didn't care.
When it was over, they stood in silence, the water still running as they caught their breath.
Izzy was the first to move, brushing wet hair from her face as she stepped out of the shower and reached for a towel. She didn't say anything, just shot him a knowing smile.
"You should go find Trevor before he notices," Quinn said hoarsely.
She wrapped the towerl around herself and turned to face him. "You could've stopped me."
"I probably should've."
Izzy laughed, shaking her head. He leaned in to kiss him one last time before slipping out his room.
Quinn stood there for a while, the water still pounding against his skin as the guilt settled in. It wouldn't happen again. But he'd told himself that so many times before.
~~
It had been a long day, but a good day. Sun-soaked hours spent on the boat, laughter, and drinks passed around as they floated on the lake. By the time they returned to the house, everyone was tired, their energy drained.
Trevor was in the kitchen grabbing a glass of water when he heard voices coming from the hallway. At first, he didn't think anything of it. But then he heard his name.
"Trevor doesn't know, Izzy. But he's gonna figure it out eventually," Quinn's voice was low but firm, laced with obvious frustration.
Trevor froze, the glass halfway to his lips.
"You don't know that," Izzy replied, almost like she was trying to soothe him.
"Yes, I do," Quinn shot back. "You think he hasn't noticed how much time you spend on your phone? How distracted you've been? He's not an idiot, Izzy."
There was a beat of silence, and then Izzy said, "It doesn't matter. I love him."
Trevor felt queasy. He stepped closer, careful to keep his movements quiet as he strained to hear more.
"You keep saying that. But if you really loved him, you wouldn't be doing this."
"Quinn--"
"No," he interrupted. "You need to end this. You need to tell him the turth and end it, or I will."
Trevor didn't need to hear more. He turned and walked quickly back to the guest room, his mind running a mile a minute.
Izzy came into the bedroom about fifteen minutes later, her hair slightly damp from a quick shower. She was wearing a Ducks' t-shirt, the same one she always wore to bed, her expression calm, serene.
But Trevor didn't look at her.
"You okay?" she asked.
"Fine," he said shortly, sitting on the edge of the bed and staring at the floor.
Izzy frowned. "You don't sound fine."
"Who were you talking to just now?" he looked up.
Her eyes widened, barely, but it was enough. "What do you mean?"
"In the hallway. I heard you. You and Quinn."
Izzy froze. "Trevor, I don't--"
"Don't lie to me," he snapped, standing abruptly. "I heard you, Izzy. You think I haven't noticed? The way you've been acting? Who is it?"
"It's not what you think," she said quickly, her voice shaky.
"Then what is it?" Trevor demanded. "Because from where I'm standing, it sounds a hell of a lot like you're cheating on me."
"I'm not--" she started, but the words died on her lips.
"Don't. Do not lie to me, Isabelle. Just tell me the truth."
Tears welled in her eyes and she looked like she might actually come clean. But then she shook her head. "I love you, Trevor. I do"
"Stop saying that!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the room. "You don't get to say that when you're--" He broke off, clenching his fists at his sides. "Just tell me the truth. Who is it?"
Her silence spoke volumes.
Trevor laughed bitterly, running a hand through his hair. "It's him, isn't it? It's Quinn."
Her head snapped up. "Trevor--"
"Don't," he repeated, his voice raw. "Just... don't."
~~
The shouting started quietly at first--muffled voices behind the closed door of Trevor and Izzy's room. Quinn was sitting on the couch with Jack and Luke, flipping through the channel guide, when the volume spiked.
"Are they fighting?" Luke asked, frowning as he turned his head toward the hallway.
"Sounds like it," Jack said, brow furrowed. "Weird. They've been grossly happy all week."
Quinn didn't say anything. His chest constricting with every shout that echoed down the hall.
"I heard you, Izzy!" Trevor's voice roared, loud enough to carry through the house now. "You think I'm stupid? You think I didn't piece things together?"
Jack and Luke exchanged a concerned glance.
"Should we like check on them?" Luke asked hesitantly.
Before Jack could answer, the door to the guest room flew open. Trevor stormed down the hall, his face red with anger, his fists at his sides.
"Trevor," Izzy called after him, her voice panicked. "Wait--"
But he wasn't waiting. He was heading straight for the living room, his eyes locked on Quinn like a heat-seeking missile.
"What's going on?" Quinn asked, standing cautiously as Trevor approached.
"You," Trevor snarled, pointing at him. "You've been fucking her, haven't you?"
The room fell into stunned silence. Jack and Luke froze, their eyes darting between Trevor and Quinn.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Jack asked incredulously.
"Don't play dumb," Trevor snapped, his gaze never leaving Quinn. "You've been sneaking around with her. Behind my back. Haven't you?"
"Trevor, you don't know what you're saying," Quinn started, his voice calm but strained.
"Don't!" Trevor barked, stepping closer. "Admit that you're a backstabbing piece of shit!"
Quinn's jaw tightened, his own anger bubbling to the surface. "It's not as simple as you think."
"Not as simple?" Trevor laughed bitterly. "What's not simple about you fucking my girlfriend?"
"Trevor--"
"Shut up!" Trevor's palm collided with Quinn's chest, shoving him back a step. "You don't get to talk. You don't get to justify this."
"I'm not justifying anything," Quinn snapped, shoving him back. "But maybe you should take a good, hard look at yourself before you start pointing fingers."
Trevor's face twisted in confusion. "What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"
"It means you've been so busy treating Izzy like arm candy that you don't even know her," Quinn shot back. "You're too wrapped up in hockey and showing her off to even care about what's going on in her life. Do you even know her favourite book? Her favourite movie? Hell, do you even know where she grew up?"
"Don't you dare--" Trevor lunged at him, but Quinn sidestepped just in time.
"You don't care about her," Quinn spat. "Not really. You care about how she makes you look. About having the perfect girlfriend. And she knows it."
"You don't know anything about us!" Trevor roared, swinging.
The punch connected with Quinn's jaw, sending him stumbling backward. The room erupted into chaos as Jack and Luke jumped up, rushing to pull them apart.
"Z, stop!" Jack shouted, grabbing him by the arms and dragging him back.
"Quinn, are you okay?" Luke asked, standing between them.
Quinn wiped his mouth, tasting blood. "I'm fine," he said lowly. He straightened, his gaze locked on Trevor. "But you're not."
"Get the hell away from me," Trevor growled, shaking Jack off. "I don't ever want to see your face again."
"Trevor--" Izzy's voice broke through the chaos as she appeared in the hall, her face red and tear-streaked.
"Don't," Trevor snapped, his voice cold. "Don't try to talk to me."
Her stormed out of the room, slamming the front door behind him.
~~
The house was unnervingly quiet after Trevor stormed out. Luke had retreated to his room, clearly shaken by what had just happened, and Izzy had disappeared somwehere, leaving Quinn alone in the living room with Jack.
Quinn sat on the edge of the couch, his elbows resting on his knees and his head in his hands. His jaw ached where Trevor's punch had landed, but the pain was nothing compared to the heaviness he felt.
Jack stood nearby, arms crossed, his face stern. He hadn't said much during the argument, but now that it was over, the silence between them was deafening.
Finally, he spoke.
"What the hell were you thinking?"
Quinn didn't look up. "Jack, I--"
"No," Jack cut him off, his voice sharp. "I don't wanna hear it. Do you have any idea what you just did?"
"It wasn't just me, Jack. Izzy--"
"Izzy?" Jack's laugh was bitter. "Don't trying to pin this all on her. You're my brother, Quinn. You're supposed to be better than this."
"I know I fucked up. I didn't mean for it to happen--"
"But it did," Jack snapped, stepping closer. "And now what? Trevor's out there thinking his friend and his girlfriend stabbed him in the back, and Luke and I are stuck in the middle of your mess!"
Quinn stood. "You think I don't know that? You think I don't feel like shit about what happened?"
"Good," Jack shot back. "You should feel like shit."
"Jack, you don't understand. She--"
"Stop! Stop trying to justify it. Don't try to make it sound like it isn't your fault, Quinn. It was selfish. All of it. You knew what this would do, and you did it anyway."
"You think I wanted to ruin things?"
Jack's voice softened, but the disappointment in his eyes cut deeper than his anger. "I don't know what you wanted, Quinn. But you ruined it anyway."
Quinn looked away, unable to look his brother in the eye.
Jack sighed, shaking his head. "Trevor doesn't deserve this."
Quinn didn't respond. What could he say? Jack was right.
"You need to fix this," Jack continued flatly. "I don't know how, but you do."
And with that, he walked away too, leaving Quinn alone in the living room to drown in the guilt.

warnings - none! just some grammar mistakes!
The off-season had just started a little over two weeks ago, with everything from getting stuffed packed to trying to get everyone in at the same time, you and Jack were finally able to get everybody around for an end of season party at the lake house.
That morning you got everything ready for the day with getting the food that was being catered that day correct to Jack setting up extra table and chairs with Quinn and Luke. You easily had at least 50 people coming tonight. With family members coming and everyone’s friends coming, you had to make sure everything was perfect.
Ellen and Jim arrived earlier in the day to help set everything up. It was around 5pm, when several people began showing up. Trevor, Cole, and Alex showed up with extra beer and wine. Your parents and brothers showed up closely after. Soon enough, there a good mixture of your family and friends and a bunch of hockey players that the guys knew were around and that were their friends.
You were sitting on Jack’s lap in the backyard talking to Trevor, Cole and Alex. Jack has his arms wrapped around your waist and playing with a loose string on your crop top. You had one hand wrapped around his neck while also drinking a few sips of your beer with the other.
“Dude! I had no idea the lady was even right there! I just bumped right into her!” Trevor says while recounting a story about how he accidentally bumped into a lady causing her to spill her drink everywhere.
Cole’s laughing at him. “Did you at least pay to get her another drink?!”
“Yeah, yeah I did. Although, she could’ve at least said she was behind me so I didn’t bump into her!” The whole situation has you and Jack in a complete laughing fit.
Trying to catch your breath, you say, “Or she recognized you and planned it all along so that she could talk to you!” Trevor all of a sudden gets wide eyed which causes the boys to laugh even more.
“You know, I think you’re right! She kept looking at me up and down like she was checking me out!”
“Trev, you were literally wearing the weirdest outfit combination…. Sweatpants with your suit jacket and a button up shirt!” Cole says, causing even more laughter.
Deciding that you needed to check on everyone else to see if they were okay, you get up off of your boyfriends lap. He gives you a pouty face as you do. “Don’t worry, I’ll be back I just want to check up on everyone else and also use the bathroom.” You run your hand through his hair.
He gives you a nod and squeeze to your thigh. “Okay, just don’t be long! I can only be around Trevor for so long!”
“Hey!”
“Oh, you know I only joke!” Jack says to a pouty Trevor. “She’s my wife, of course I’d want her around more than you!” You just laugh and tousle his hair again when he calls you that.
“She’s not your wife yet! You two aren’t even engaged.” Trevor says trying to lift his feelings up.
“Well, she will be soon enough! We live together, we may as well be married!”
“Okay, boys,” You say trying to calm them down. “You two continue arguing, Cole and Alex I expect you two to stop them from fighting, I’ll be back in a bit.”
“Let me know if you need me, wifey!” Jack says with a smirk, while also turning to see Trevor’s reaction. He just shakes his head.
You couldn’t help but to laugh to yourself as you walk into the house to talk to everyone.
While your gone, Trevor and Jack have stopped arguing for a bit.
Trevor asks Jack, “So, you’re going to ask her to marry you, aren’t you?”
“Well, yeah. I asked her dad earlier tonight while she was busy. It seemed like the perfect time to ask him since everyone is here and she wouldn’t notice. I have the ring hid in the back of my closet under some hockey stuff.”
The boys are smiling so big at him. “She’s definitely the one for you Jacky.” Cole says while patting his shoulder.
“Yeah, she’s the only that has ever laughed at your jokes, even when they’re so bad!” Alex jokes.
“Oh, shush! Just don’t say anything or be suspicious about it. I still don’t know when I’ll fully ask.”
“Ask what?” You say when you made your way back onto Jack’s lap.
Wrapping his arms tighter around you, he smiles, “Oh, just when I’m going to ask Luke if he has a crush on that one girl he has been talking to.” He hopes he played that off well.
“Oh yeah! He’s totally into her, you should see them inside!” Seeing that he played it off well, he lets out a breath and lays his head on your shoulder, laughing at your story of Luke and his seemingly new crush inside.

Reader feels obligated to pamper him every second of everyday and is just so gentle with him it gets to the point where Jack is like “babe just because I hurt my leg doesn’t mean we can’t make out or do it” cause reader is like so scared of hurting him but Jack is just super needy

Summer Series Open Now
This was a request, keep sending them I love them (if I get more than five new request, I drop a new fic tomorrow)
I changed a few little things but I love how this turned out
Much longer than expected, whoops

You’re honestly surprised Jack has lived to see the grand age of 22. He may think he’s agile, smooth even, but you know better. In fact, you’d dare even to say that your boyfriend is one of the clumsiest people you know. It’s honestly a miracle he hasn’t broken anything, especially since this summer; he’s really been pushing his limits.
“Babe, Babe! Look.”
You turn your head up from the book you are currently devouring to stare at your boyfriend. You watch as he does a cute little flip on the wave and throws you a couple of peace signs. You smile, give him a thumbs up, and not a second later, he dives off the board and into the lake.
He quickly gets into the boat, grabs a towel, and shakes out his hair. As soon as he’s only a little wet, he walks toward you, sitting right next to you and placing your legs on top of his.
“That must be a damn good book. Usually, you can’t take your eyes off me.”
You roll your eyes at him, gently placing the book down. “Well, if you must know, it is very interesting. Lots of murder, lots of mayhem.”
As soon as the sentence leaves your lips, he snatches the book from your lap, reading the back insert. After a couple of seconds, he hums.
“Looks kinda good.”
You smile and snatch it back. “I’ll add it to your list.”
Jack nods, smiling again at you, and leans over to kiss your forehead. When he pulls back, he nods toward Luke, who is currently surfing at the back of the boat.
“I think I’m gonna go again; try that thing Luke saw on TikTok.”
Once he says that, you narrow your eyes at him.
“The last time you tried something like that, both of you almost drowned.”
This time Jack rolls his eyes, shaking his head wildly.
“Please (Y/N), your lack of faith is insulting. We’re experts.”
You shrug your shoulders at your boyfriend; you honestly don’t care; you know that sometimes their little tricks can become problems.
Mere minutes later, the two of them are hooked up and gliding effortlessly on the water. Quinn is driving the boat, and you’re watching, realizing this may be something you want to see. You’re also sitting beside Trevor, who’s filming the entire thing.
It’s starting great; they do a few little tricks while you and Trev cheer them on. You also catch when Jack does another turn a throws a wink your way, dragging his hand through his hair which he knows you love.
You’re honestly pretty impressed at the pair, not that you’d ever let them know that, but they look good. Everything seems to be going great until it’s not.
You’re all still cheering them on when they reach their final move. One second they’re both good, then in a blink, they both go down, but not before you hear a slight yelp from your boyfriend as he hits the water.
As soon as they fall, Trevor’s eyes dart to you, both of you sharing the “oh fuck” look. Quinn notices this, too, and weaves the boat around quickly.
When you finally get to the pair, they both look a little nervous. Trevor moves first, quickly moving to put down the ladder. Seconds later, he’s helping pull Jack up, Luke also helping to push him into the boat. You can’t help but wince yourself as you watch your boyfriend's nose scrunch up in pain.
As soon as he gets into the boat, he swings his leg up, and everyone can see the blood dripping down and a giant purple bruise forming.
Without saying a word, you grab the first aid kit from the front of the boat and swing into action. You sit across from your boyfriend, wordlessly opening a few supplies. You’re not mad, of course; you’re just worried. Injuries aren’t ideal for hockey players, even if they're small.
“Oh, son of a bitch,” Jack hisses as you wipe some alcohol pads over the rather large cut.
You glance up at him to see some tears welling up in his eyes, and as soon as you meet his eyes, he rips them away. You know he’s mad at himself and, obviously, in quite a bit of pain.
“Is he gonna make it?” Luke asks, watching behind you.
“Don’t know, might have to cut it off.”
You look toward Jack as you make the joke, trying to ease the slight tension, but he doesn’t seem very impressed.
Ten minutes later, you’re docked, and Trevor and Luke are tasked with getting Jack to the house. You stay behind, helping Quinn get the boat settled and doing the glamorous job of wiping your boyfriend's blood off the boat floor.
“He’s lucky that wasn’t worse.” Quinn breaks the silence. “I should’ve backed you up more.”
You shake your head, throwing away the bloody paper towels. “They were gonna do it anyway. He’ll be fine.
You both finish up and go to the house, seeing Luke and Trevor in the kitchen, but no sign of Jack.
“He’s upstairs,” Luke says, gesturing toward the stairs.
You walk by and ruffle his hair slightly, to which he wacks your hand gently away, throwing you an uneasy smile.
You head up the stairs to the bedroom, and when you enter, you see your boyfriend lying on the bed, his foot propped up with some ice on it. As soon as you enter, his eyes follow your figure as you move toward the dresser, grabbing some clothes to change into.
Before you go to the bathroom, you stop.
“Do you wanna shower all the lake and sunscreen off you?”
Jack whips his head toward you, and after a bit of silence, he nods. You move to help him, getting him into the bathroom and helping him peel off his shorts.
Soon you’re both in the shower, and you’re making sure he keeps his weight on the good leg. In the bathroom's light, the bruise and the cut look terrible, and your heart breaks everything he winces.
“I’m sorry.” He blurts out after minutes of silence.
You give him a confused look. “Why? It’s not like you planned on getting hurt, J.”
You quickly swipe some hair from his face, forcing him to look at you.
“I know. I just should’ve listened. And also, I was being a dick, which you don’t deserve, but I know if I talked to you, I’d start crying.”
His admission makes you even sadder, and you quickly pull your boyfriend down to meet you. Placing a gentle kiss on his lips.
“It’s okay, J.”
You finish the shower, and for the rest of the night, you dote on your boyfriend. You make sure he’s comfy, get you both snacks and turn on his favorite movie. Minutes tick by, and you’re comfortably tucked into his side when you notice he isn’t watching the movie.
“You okay? Tired?”
He shakes his head, and m he pulls you into him, connecting your lips. You smile into the kiss and then pull back away from him. This causes him to pout, and he leans back in, pulling you into him, but you resist.
"Hey now, let's not add more injuries to the list, shall we?" You give him a sweet smile and another quick peck, "How about you settle for snuggling? We don’t need any more dangerous stunts, and we can save that for when you're back to your agile, smooth self.”
Your teasing causes Jack to pout further and rolls his eyes, ducking down the meet your lips again. You slightly let him win, letting him deepen the kiss a bit before you pull back once again. As soon as you do, he leans down to whisper in your ear.
“I appreciate the concern, but I still have two legs, babe.”
He raises his eyebrow at his suggestive comment, and you roll your eyes back as far as they can go.
“Gross.”
He snickers, pulling you back in and moving his lips down your neck, stopping at the place you go crazy for. You can’t help but squirm as his lips send tingles down your spine.
“Jack, you're impossible," you laugh, trying to maintain some composure while he continues his teasing assault.
He lifts his head, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Well, if I can't be agile on the water, at least I can be smooth here," he winks, earning himself another eye roll from you.
“Smooth, huh?" you quip, a smirk forming on your lips. "I'll believe that when you can walk without limping."
He smiles another big smile, and his eyes grow soft.
“Please, I’m 100% sure you will heal me, and I promise I’ll be careful.”
You stare deep into his eyes, and you feel yourself breaking.
“Fine, but I’ll do most of the work.”
Jack's eyes darken as the words leave your lips, and at record speed, he pulls at your top.
“If that’s the case, I think I want to stay injured forever.”

ENCHANTED — JAMIE DRYSDALE
jamie drysdale x hughes!reader
published: September 17th, 2023
summary: in which y/n meets Jamie on a boring night and becomes completely enchanted with him
Tumblr media
GIF by bagopucks
this wasn’t where i wanted to spend my night.
after two years in Anaheim, i thought i had successfully avoided my brother’s best friend dragging me to parties or nights out.
i always had an excuse handy.
“sorry Trevor, i have a big test. i gotta study.”
“i have major cramps, sorry Trev.”
“i have study group, sorry!”
“sorry Trevor, i have a shift at the campus store!”
that last one came back to bite me in the ass after Trevor had mentioned it to Jack and my loving brother outed me on the fact that i don’t even have a job.
that’s what got me here. finally conned into being Trevor’s friendly plus-one to John Gibson’s end-of-the-season party. despite the fact that i was telling the truth this time when i said i had to study for finals.
Trevor had pulled some pouty puppy face over facetime, reminded me that i lied to him last time, and even pulled out the “i just wanna hang out with you, mini Hughes. i never get to see you, even though we live in the same city. you may as well be as far away as Jack.”
and just like that, i was putty in his hands. i agreed to accompany, only on the agreement that he wouldn’t leave me alone when we got here. and he hasn’t, so far.
he stands next to me, an arm leant against my shoulder, as he chats with Troy Terry.
“this is y/n Hughes, my itty bitty best buddy!” his speech is slightly slurred, already significantly buzzed, but not quite drunk yet.
“you gotta stop calling me that.” i roll my eyes. “i’m not fourteen and 5’3 anymore.”
“but you’re still not my height,” he laughs, ruffling my hair. “so it stays.”
i send Troy a pleading glance and his head tips back in laughter.
“so, you’re Quinn, Jack, and Luke’s sister?” Troy asks.
“yeah, i’m between Jack and Luke.” i explain and he nods, making a comment about how hard it must be being the only girl.
“where’s Jamie, Trevor? thought he would’ve driven with you.” Troy questions, and i’m grateful for the change of subject.
i love my brothers, but they’re all anyone ever wants to talk about. i’m my own person, my life doesn’t revolve around them.
“nah, i picked this one up, so Jamie’s driving on his own. he should be here soon though.”
i zone out as the conversation shifts to their off-season plans, forcing a laugh whenever Trevor tells a horrendous joke, and faking a smile when he mentions that he’ll be coming to my brothers lake house.
but eventually i get bored, instead turning my head to look around the crowded house.
i recognize a few people from the Ducks games i’ve watched or attended. John Gibson, the goalie. Mason McTavish, the young center.
but then i see him.
dark hair and blue eyes contrast against pale skin. even from across the room, i can see the freckles that litter across his nose and cheekbones. his gaze shifts around the room, and when it settles on where i am, he seems to let out a relieved sigh, making his way over.
my body tenses, my posture becoming straighter, and as i push my shoulders back slightly, i accidentally knock Trevor’s arm off. but he doesn’t seem to notice, a large goofy smile breaking out across his face as he cheers.
“Jimbo! you made it!”
a blush rises to the gorgeous boy’s cheeks, huffing out an awkward chuckle. it’s beautiful. he’s beautiful.
“Jimmy, this is y/n. y/n, this is Jamie!” Trevor introduces us and realization settles over me.
this is Jamie? Trevor’s best friend and roommate in California?
he reminds me of a disney prince. his eyes meet mine, wonder shining amongst them.
“have we met? you seem kinda familiar.” his voice reminds me of daylight breaking amongst gray clouds. warmth and security flowing throughout my body.
but before i can respond, Trevor butts his way in again.
“i’m gonna go get another drink! i’ll be back.”
Trevor pushes his way between us, heading off toward the kitchen, and Jamie laughs again.
“so, how drunk is he?” Jamie questions, his head nodding towards where Trevor disappeared.
“well, about ten minutes ago, he was singing me the mighty ducks theme song.” i explain and Jamie nods in understanding.
“got it. so, he’s sober.” he remarks and i let out a giggle.
“yeah,” i drag out. “there really isn’t much of a difference between sober and drunk Trevor, is there?”
“not when he’s as wild drunk as he is sober.” Jamie jokes, and i hum in agreement.
“so, you’re the infamous Jamie Drysdale?” i raise an eyebrow, watching as his cheeks turn pink.
“oh god, he talks about me?” he laughs and i nod.
“you’ve been mentioned a few times.” i confirm. “all good things, of course.”
Jamie and i stand in that same spot almost all night, eventually moving to the couch when we realize that Trevor isn’t coming back.
“so, you’re a student at… Chapman?” he gathers.
“yeah, i’m about to end my junior year. one year online during the pandemic, and two years on campus here.” i explain and he nods his head in understanding, taking a sip of his soda.
“what’s your major?”
“broadcast journalism. my main focus is sports entertainment.” he nods again before his nose scrunches in confusion, his eyebrows pulling together.
“and you’ve known Trevor this whole time?” i hum out in agreement. “how have we never met until now?”
“okay, don’t judge me.” i preface, making him chuckle, but agree. “i’m not much of a party person. i prefer to stay in my dorm and watch movies. so, i always make up an excuse to get out of coming to parties with Trevor.”
his head tips back in laughter, causing a rush of heat to spread across my face, but at the sight of my blush, he shakes his head.
“wait, no! no! i’m not laughing at you, i swear! i’m laughing because i do the same thing.” his words are spoken through broken laughter, my teeth sinking into my bottom lip to hold back a smile.
“really? you’re his roommate!”
“that doesn’t mean i love partying!” he defends himself. “i’m more introverted. quieter than Z. a lot of people wonder why we’re friends, but, we balance each other out.”
he shrugs and i tilt my head, squinting my eyes.
“hm, yeah, i could see that.” i admit. “my best friend and i are the same way. she’s a lot like Trevor.”
as the words leave my mouth, my face drops; my eyes wide, my lips parted in horror.
“oh god, she’s like Trevor.” Jamie’s entire body folds in laughter, his face turning bright red as his hand lands on my knee, sending sparks up my leg.
he looks so carefree and happy, i can’t help but sneak a picture.
“so, neither of us like parties,” Jamie starts, once he’s finally calmed down from laughing at my horror. “and Trevor has left us, and i doubt he’s coming back.”
“definitely not. that boy has the attention span of a goldfish.” i joke and Jamie agrees.
“so why don’t we get out of here?” he asks. my lips part, blood rushing to my cheeks, but before i can speak, he cuts me off. “wait, not like that. that came out wrong! what i mean is, i could really go for some food. and maybe getting out of this crowded house.”
“oh- yeah.” i nod, sliding my phone in my pocket. “yeah, that sounds great.”
“great!” he rises from the couch, holding his hand out for me to take; and i do, slipping my hand into his larger, more calloused hold.
he pulls me up from the couch, his grip never faltering as we exit the house with an irish goodbye and head to his car.
he opens the passenger door, finally dropping my hand to allow me to slide in, but i catch his hand flex in my peripheral vision and despite my now cold hand, my heart races in my chest. did i just get my own pride and prejudice moment?
“do you have any special requests on where to eat?” he questions as he starts the car.
“um, no.” i shrug. “anywhere with chicken tenders is fine with me.”
he laughs. “then i know just the place.”
the ride is made in a comfortable silence after that. nothing but the sound of country music flowing through the radio.
Jamie pulls into a diner parking lot, mostly empty due to the late timing, and we head inside, taking a seat in a booth towards the middle of the establishment.
“your chicken tenders, await.” he grins, pointing out the item on the laminated menu, slightly sticky with syrup.
“hey, don’t knock the chicken tenders. they’re an important food group.” i stick out my lip in a fake pout and he chuckles.
“yeah, if you’re ten.”
“oh yeah, well what are you gonna get? a burger?” he opens his mouth to defend himself, but as i raise a brow, he chooses to stay silent, letting out a ‘hmph’
“that’s what i thought.” i grin in triumph as a waitress stops by to take our orders. as soon as she leaves, my phone buzzes in my pocket and i slide it out, huffing a laugh at the text.
***
from: quack-quack 🦆 yo, where’d u go?! u disappeared on me! ***
i show the text to Jamie, who laughs as well.
“guess he did try to come back to us.” he shrugs.
“yeah, three hours after he left us!” i giggle, holding my phone up to take a picture of Jamie, who smiles, his arms crossed on the table.
the photo is the only response Trevor gets, but barely 5 minutes later, interrupting Jamie and i’s heavy debate on which Star Wars movie is the best, i get another text.
*** from: jacky ♥️🖤 why is Z telling me you’re out with a guy? at 11:30 at night?? y/n, go home. now. it’s unsafe and i can’t believe you’re being so reckless. i’ll deal with this in the morning. ***
i roll my eyes, choosing to ignore the text and slip my phone back into my pocket.
“Trevor again?” Jamie asks but i shake my head.
“no, worse. my brother.” i explain as our food arrives.
i smile over at the waitress, muttering out a ‘thank you’ before she retreats.
“you have a brother?” he speaks up as i take a bite of chicken and i nod.
“i have three.” i don’t give him any more information than that. if he’s unaware of who my brothers are, then i don’t want to tell him. not tonight, at least.
“oh damn.” he blows out a breath, his eyes widening. “i have a brother, but i can’t imagine having three. and being the only girl?”
“yeah, they’re pretty protective.”
“do they live here?” he asks, and it feels nice; being able to talk about my family without someone already knowing who they are and pretty much everything about them.
“no.” i shake my head. “one lives in canada, the other two on the east coast.”
he ask me more questions about my family, and i try to keep my answers as vague as possible, while still not being too vague that he thinks i don’t wanna talk about them.
for every question i answer, he gives me a fact about his own family, until the conversation shifts to jobs.
“well obviously you know i’m a hockey player.” he says as i push my now-empty plate away. “do you work?”
“not right now.” i tell him. “i’m focused on school at the moment. i got a full-ride scholarship, because of my grades, so i don’t have to pay for my tuition, and my parents pay for my dorm.
“but because they don’t have to pay for my tuition, they send me a monthly allowance from my college fund so that i don’t have to work and i can focus on my schooling.”
he follows along as i explain, maintaining eye contact.
“that’s cool. it’s good, that you get to focus on your grades.” i yawn as he finishes speaking, attempting to cover it, but he catches on. “oh shit, are you tired?”
“i- just a little bit.” i wince, hoping he doesn’t think i found him boring or anything.
“i can drop you off at your dorm, if you want. i know Trevor picked you up”
i nod as he motions over to the waitress for the check.
“yes, please.” i give in. “i usually wouldn’t mind staying out all night with you, because i’m having a really good time, and you’re so funny and sweet. but, i need to sleep so i can study tomorrow. i have a final on Monday.”
Jamie pays, waving off my offer to pay for my own food, and we exit the diner, climbing back into his car.
the time on his dashboard reads one am and i internally cringe at the idea of having to sneak back into my dorm.
the drive is mainly quiet as i give him directions to my dorm, and i sigh as we pull up in front of the building.
“i had a lot of fun.” i turn to him with a small smile as i unbuckle my seatbelt. “thanks for making tonight a lot less boring, Jamie.”
“yeah, me too.” he nods, “thanks for saving me from drunk Trevor.”
i’m grateful for the darkness of the night sky as he leans over and presses a kiss to my cheek, thanking whatever higher being that he’s unable to see the pink twinge on my cheekbones.
i bid him a goodnight as i exit the car, looking back as i reach the door to the dormitory building, to see him waiting for me to get inside before he leaves. i wave another goodbye, him doing the same as i disappear into the brick building.
i’m blushing, grinning like a lovesick fool the entire elevator ride up to my dorm.
i wonder if he knows how enchanted i was by him. one night together and i’m already thinking about how i would introduce him to my family.
i tiptoe into the dorm room, quiet to try and avoid waking my best friend slash roommate, but my efforts go unappreciated as she’s already sitting up in her bed, waiting for me.
“how was it? were you miserable without me?” Brandy asks from her spot propped against her mountain of pillows. “i bet you were, right?”
but i’m quiet; my mind still stuck on Jamie. he was amazing. so kind, and funny. and he actually asked about me. he genuinely wanted to know about my family and friends, what i liked to do in my free time, and what i wanted to do with my degree.
“oh- i know that look.” Brandy squeals, hopping off her bed and disregarding my half-nakedness in the midst of getting changed into my pajamas, pulling me in for a hug. “who is he? what’s his name? where’s he from? does he have a hot brother?”
“Trevor’s roommate, Jamie, Canada, and he has a brother but i don’t know what he looks like.” i spill, my cheeks red and a wide grin on my lips.
you’d think i just told Brandy i won the lottery with the way she lets out an excited shriek, jumping up and down as i finish changing.
i leave her to get out her excitement as i go wash my face and brush my teeth, but when i’m back, she just seems even more excited.
“tell me all about him!” she demands, hopping back into her bed, turning to face mine as i crawl in and bury myself in my covers.
“he was enchanting.” i sigh, staring up at the popcorn ceiling. “he was so funny, and he was so sweet. we really clicked, Bran.
“we met at the party and spent hours just talking and getting to know each other. and then he took me to this diner, and we spent another hour and a half just talking about our lives. and he doesn’t know who my brothers are! i mean, he knows who they are, obviously, because he plays hockey, but he doesn’t know they’re my brothers.”
“oh sweet angel,” she sighs, and i turn my head to look at her. “you seem so happy.”
her eyes are soft, a gentle smile on her face.
“i am.” i tell her.
“are you gonna see him again?” she questions, laying down under her blankets.
“i don’t know, i—” my mood deflates, my face dropping as realization settles over me. “i didn’t get his number.”
“so ask Trevor for it.” she shrugs, as if it’s easy. and i guess for her, someone who doesn’t have crippling anxiety, it is.
“i can’t.” i shake my head. “that would be so embarrassing. i don’t want Trevor to know i’m interested in his friend. not yet.”
“you’ll see him again, sweet angel.” Brandy assures me, flicking off her lamp. “it’ll work out.”
the room goes dark and quiet, and a mere five minutes later, i can hear her snores fill the room. but i’m still awake.
i grab my phone from where it rests on my bedside table, unlocking it, i’m unsurprised to see it’s two am. i click into my photos app, swiping back and forth between the two pictures i took of Jamie tonight.
questions plague my thoughts.
does he have a girlfriend in canada?
who does he love?
when is he leaving, now that the season is over?
will i ever see him again?
please let this be the very first page of our story.
please don’t let this be where our storyline ends.
i turn off my phone, plugging it in and setting it back on my nightstand. his name echoes through my thoughts, and when i close my eyes, all i picture is him.
please don’t be in love with someone else.
please don’t have somebody waiting on you.
i drift into sleep, my dreams overridden by the same blue eyed, freckled boy that had taken over my mind.
*** TWO MONTHS LATER ***
it’s been months, but i still haven’t moved past that April night with Jamie.
i can be having a normal summer day, and yet some way or another, i’m reminded of the beautiful boy that i spent that night with.
sometimes it’s the blue of the lake water, which reminds me of his eyes. others it’s the color of my coffee in the morning, that reminds me of his hair.
it doesn’t help that nearly all of Trevor’s stories from the past season, include Jamie in some way.
it’s been months, and i still hope to every higher power, that i’ll see him again. that he’s single and hoping to see me too.
i’m sprawled across the couch, my head in my eldest brother’s lap as the guys play chel.
i was reading a book, but that’s been long abandoned; now closed and resting on my chest as i daydream about the freckled disney prince like boy from Anaheim.
“hey.” my trance is broken when Quinn pokes my cheek. i glance up at him, tearing my eyes away from their zoned out glare at the tv. “you okay?”
“yeah, i’m fine.” i give him a small smile. “just wondering where Trevor is and if he can stay there. it’s so quiet.”
Quinn laughs, zoning back into the tv screen as a new game starts between Jack and Cole.
“he went to-” Quinn is cut off by the front door opening and Trevor’s loud voice echoing throughout the house.
“honey, i’m home!” Trevor calls out and Quinn and i share an exasperated glance. “and i brought a guest!”
my brows furrow together at his statement, listening to the two pairs of footsteps that get closer to the living room.
“guys, this is Jamie. you know him from… playing against him.”
my eyes go wide, my head snapping up as i quickly raise myself to a sitting position, accidentally kicking Jack in the groin from my feet having been in his lap.
Jack lets out a groan, doubling over, while Cole laughs and takes that as his chance to score a goal on him in the video game.
“Jimbo, this is Cole, Alex, Quinn, and Jack, who looks like his appendix burst.” Trevor introduces and Jack coughs, holding up his middle finger at his best friend. “and you already know y/n.”
at the mention of my name and the flick of Trevor’s finger towards me, Jamie’s eyes snap to me, a smile on his face.
“hi.” i grin, shuffling to my knees on the couch.
“hey, i’m glad to see you again. i didn’t know you would be here.” Jamie’s eyes light up, crinkling as his smile gets brighter.
“it’s her brothers’ house Jimmy, of course she’ll be here.” Trevor laughs, slapping Jamie’s back, whose eyes go wide as he realizes.
“oh- these are your brothers? you didn’t say they played hockey.” Jamie chuckles awkwardly.
“what?” Jack huffs from behind me. “not only have you met him? but you didn’t tell him about your dear old brothers?”
Jack wraps an arm around the front of my shoulders, pulling me back into him and ruffling my hair.
“get off me, jackass!” i break free from his hold, making him laugh. “i didn’t tell him who you are, but i did tell him how annoying you are.”
Jack gasps in mock offense, reaching out for me, but i clamber into Quinn’s lap.
“keep him away, Quinny!” i shriek, making all the guys laugh.
“Jack, leave her alone.” Quinn chuckles and Jack slumps back on his seat, rolling his eyes.
“you two are no fun.”
“hey mini Hughes?” Trevor starts, plopping down into the seat beside Jack. “you mind showing Jimmy to the empty room? i wanna beat Cole’s ass at chel.”
“sure.” i rise from Quinn’s lap, sending a smile towards Jamie as i motion for him to follow me. he picks up his suitcase, shuffling behind me through the house and up the stairs until i lead him into the empty room beside mine.
“here ya go. your room for the… however long you’re here.” he chuckles at my words, setting his suitcase down on the bed before he turns to me.
“ya know, i was hoping i’d see you again.” he confesses, my cheeks turning pink.
“yeah?” he nods, “me too.”
“i was enchanted to meet you that night.” his hand grabs ahold of mine, lacing our fingers together. “and then i realized i didn’t get your number, and it felt too weird to get it from Trevor. so, i was really hoping i would run into you next season, but here you are now.”
“here i am.” i bite my lip, glancing down at his lips before back at his eyes.
“would you wanna go out while i’m here?” he asks shyly. “like, on a real date?”
“i would love that, Jamie.” i take the chance while i feel bold, wrapping my arms around his neck, his following suit and coiling around my waist.
“yeah?” he replies giddily, his voice filled with excitement and nerves.
“yeah. i’d love that a lot.” his eyes flicker down to my lips before his tongue darts out to wet his own.
“hey, Jamie?” my words earn me a distracted hum in return. “you finally gonna kiss me now?”
“oh yeah.” he nods, causing me to giggle.
his head dips down, our noses brushing as his lips finally press against mine. my entire body melts into his, my hands cupping the back of his neck to pull him closer. our lips fit together perfectly, fire spreading throughout my body at the feeling.
and all i can think, is how enchanting this feeling is.

“I think I’m in love”
Summary: Trevor is having a hard time being away from you while he is with Team USA for the Men’s World Championship. Seeing his teammates and crossing paths with other teams with their significant others only intensifies all his feelings.
Warnings: use of pet names (babe, baby), angst, worry/anxiety, overthinking, fluff, I think that’s it
Word Count: 1.34K
Tumblr media
It had only been 72 hours since Trevor had left the United States and he was truly miserable. He felt as if every where he looked when he was off the ice there was a couple. It was nearly impossible to not run into someone he knew from the league, just to be introduced to their significant other. “Seriously since when did everyone had their significant other with them.” Trevor asked Matt Boldy as he laced up skate. “Trevor, I think you’re over reacting. It just seems that way to you because your girl isn’t here.” Matt stands to walk off to the ice. Trevor shakes off his thoughts, or tries to shake off his thoughts.
Trevor wasn’t playing well, his focus was off. His heart really wasn’t in it at all. Cole and Luke had taken notice of how he was struggling and were off talking on the side in between drills.
“Do you think this has something to do with his girlfriend?” Luke asked Cole watching Trevor completely miss Brady for the passing drill. “I’m sure it does. I noticed him watching different couples when we were eating last night. I had to remind him it’s rude to stare. I also noticed Z hasn’t smiled like normal since we got here.” Luke couldn’t answer Cole as Trevor skated up and it was their turn to skate. Trevor’s head was lost in his thoughts when Coach dismissed practice. “Let’s go Z! We’re done” Luke yelled out.
After changing and heading back to the hotel the three boys were piled up in Trevor’s room. “Alright man talk. What’s going on with you? You look like you lost your long time pet or something.” Cole said flopping on his back next to Trevor. “I just miss her a lot. She couldn’t or wouldn’t come for some reason. And I’m worried we will grow apart. And, and” Trevor started to stutter over his words. Feeling a knot in this throat forming. Tears forming in his eyes. The pain in his chest that he wrote off as acid reflux earlier started hurting a bit more when his heart raced harder. “And what?” Luke pushed.
“God. I think I’m in love with her and I didn’t tell her. She doesn’t know.”
“What do you mean she doesn’t know?” Cole and Luke ask at the same time. The two boys share a look with each other then look back at Trevor. Trevor shrugs as if it should be the most obvious answer. “We haven’t told each other yet. She’s different you guys. I want to take care of her and provide for her. I look at her and I think about a future. A future where I don’t live in an apartment with in walking distance from the arena I practice and play in. It’s a future where I live in a house big enough for however many children she wants. With a yard so those kids can play outside instead of always being stuck inside. I don’t think about when I can get her naked in my bed. Actually she’s never been naked in my bed. I’ve never seen her naked. But for fuck sake I am in love with her.”
Trevor ran his hands through his hair and exhaled.
“I have never been this serious about anyone. I will go to hell and back for her. I think I am already in hell being this far away from her but that’s besides the point.” The last part earned a laugh out Cole and Luke. The two boys completely baffled by Trevor’s admission about his feelings for his girlfriend. He has always been an open book about most things but never about his feelings.
“Trev, I think it’s time to be honest with her. You need to let her know how important she is to you before she feels neglected.” Cole says giving Trevor a firm grip on his shoulder. “It’s late, we’re going to head out and get rest for tomorrow. Think about telling her and how you want to tell her before you just call her and yap it out there. If she’s endgame, plan it out.” Cole gives Trevor a quick hug before heading out of the room. Trevor feels better letting it all out but he can’t help but mope in loneliness, wondering what you’re doing back home.
While listening to Trevor, Cole was working magic. He had already purchased you a ticket through the US Hockey foundation for a flight. Explaining how down Trevor has been in just the last 72 hours and that he believed you could potentially be the cure all. You were shocked. Confused at best. You kept asking Cole if Trevor had put him up to it. Cole kept assuring you that Trevor has no idea that you have a flight out in the next couple of hours. He asked you, more like begged you, to not say anything to him either. By the time Cole got you your ticket and you had woken up you had 5 hours to pack and get to the airport to be on time for security.
As you were getting ready to turn your phone off Trevor’s face illuminates the screen. He was calling. You quickly decline and shut the phone off. ‘Better safe than sorry’ you tell yourself as your boarding the plane.
When you didn’t answer and then the next calls for the next 14-15 hours. Trevor’s mind was reeling the worry he felt set in deep making him sick, he needed a trash can multiple times. He couldn’t focus anything a while the team was at practice. Trevor ended up leaving practice early from being so sick and his inability to focus on anything. He isn’t one to really leave early, usually he would ride the bench until the end of practice but he couldn’t make himself do it. His anxiety over your safety was much too high. The panic was really starting to set in now that he was alone. Trevor had started thinking of all the possibilities of what could have happened.
1) You had starting ghosting him, he was gone and you realized you didn’t want him.
2) You were in the hospital for some reason or another.
3) Your ex-boyfriend came back around.
He was beside himself with all the thoughts running through his mind. Trevor laid curled up in a ball. Physically sick, a few tears shed, worrying over your well-being when there was a knock on his door.
“Guys I’m really not in a place for—“
“Baby?” Trevor’s voice cracked just as it did when he was going through puberty.
His knees buckled and he all but collapsed down on to his knees wrapping his arms tightly around your waist. “Babygirl. I love you so fucking much. I don’t know how you’re here but I’m glad that you are. I was… I was so worried something happened to you or you were leaving me when you didn’t answer your phone. I just. Fuck. I love you. I’m sorry I never said it before now.” Trevor still on his knees down in front of you, his arms wrapped tightly around your waist.
“T. You..you love me?” You choked out wearing a huge smile on your face. He looks up at you from where he is at on the floor. “Yes baby. Today, tomorrow. Next week, the rest of your life if you’ll let me.” His eyes shining from new tears threatening the fall as your tears weren’t stopping. “T stand up so I can kiss you silly boy.” He quickly followed what you said. Grabbing his cheeks softly and pulling his face to your’s until his lips are just close enough to touch when you speak. “Trevor Zegras, I love you more than you understand.” He groaned in response pulling you into his room. Before the outside world could be forgotten Cole had to run and yell “you’re welcome Zegras” from the room door until he was acknowledged. All Trevor wants to do is lay in bed holding his precious girl, and tell her how incredibly grateful he is that she is there in Ostrava. He can’t wait to have his chance to show her off to everyone tomorrow.
authors note: hi I’ve been sitting on this for a while. I didn’t have a chance to finish the ending for a while and I didn’t go back and read over the actual story part so if it’s bad I’m sorry don’t hate me don’t judge me it’s been like a month

As you all sat in the living room watching movies and playing games you heard a knock at the door. you practically jumped from couch as you ran to the door.
You opened the door smiling at your boyfriend as he dropped his bag pulling you into his arms.
He placed a kiss to your head before you pulled back, leaning up to kiss him, "God, I missed you!"
"I missed you too," He smiled, you stepped back. He grabbed his bag.
"You can put your bag in my room," You said as you took his hand leading him up the stairs to your room.
He placed his bag by the window smiling.
"Were gonna grill tonight, and maybe go out on the boat," You smiled walking over to hug your boyfriend once again, you just needed him near.
"alright, I'll throw on some swim trunks," He smiled," Meet you downstairs?"
"One kiss first? please?" You said looking up at him with pleading eyes.
"Well, how can I say no to that pretty face," He smiled leaning down kissing you.
You smiled into the kiss, "Meet you downstairs."
You turned on your heel heading to the door, shutting it behind you. Your brothers now, joined everyone on the couch, grocery bags littering the counter space.
"You guys get everything we need?" You asked looking in the bags.
"Yep," Luke added as he watched the movie on the screen.
"Even got you those bagels you asked for," Jack added in walking over pulling them out of the bag. You smiled at your older brother, hugging him.
"This is why your my favorite," You said hugging him.
He laughed.
Connor walked down the stairs all eyes in the room going to him.
You smiled walking over to him taking his hand, "Guys this is Connor," You smiled even though they knew who he was you wanted to officially introduce him.
They all greeted him your brothers supplying some meaningless threats.
As the night progressed you all headed to the backyard. Trev and Jack starting a fire. Turcs and Quinn on the grill. You and your best friend chatting with Connor.
Quinn called everyone over the burgers were gone. You all spent the rest of the night by the fire, eating, drinking, and telling stories. You sat in Connor's lap, wearing his hoodie as the temperature dropped.
Tonight was only the first of many that you had a blast with you friends, family, and boyfriend.

baby boy hughes (2) | beaquinn

saturday, august 21, 2032 10:34 A.M.
August is fun for a few reasons– first, it’s the last month of summer. Second, Bea and Quinn have made it a tradition to rent out a bungalow in Litchton every August so that they can spend time with Honey and Trevor. Third, Bea and Honey’s hockey-playing husbands have started a summer hockey camp in Litchton during the month of August. This year, it’s been Trevor and Quinn and their two teams of fifteen, practicing and learning the game and having weekly scrimmages.
That’s where they are now. Bea and Honey are sitting on the bleachers, watching a gaggle of elementary schoolers crowd around the puck to try and get a touch. Both Quinn and Trevor are calling for them to spread out, but the kids either can’t hear them or they would rather be the one to win the puck despite their coach’s shout.
“Oh, motherf–” Honey cuts herself off, but covers Luke’s ears. He’s sitting on her lap, playing with Honey’s wallet– he likes the zipper. Pennies keep dropping from the compartment, but Honey said she’d pick them up later. She looks at Bea. “Do you have a tampon? Or a pad?”
“Um, I don’t know. I’ll check my purse.” Bea unzips the bag and rifles around. “I thought you weren’t getting periods anymore. You told me the shot was finally working for you for real. No side effects.”
“It did, when I was still getting it,” Honey explains. “We switched BCs. I’m on the pill now instead of the shot.”
“Why’d you switch?” Bea can’t find a tampon. She starts to look again.
“We figured the pill would be easiest to get off of if we wanted to start trying,” Honey replies with a shrug. “We’ve been married for three years. Trev’s ready for a baby. I think we should wait a little longer. We’re trying to find a compromise, and the pill is what we’re at so far.”
“You didn’t tell me you were thinking about it,” Bea says.
“I’m not sure yet. I like that it’s just me and Trevor right now. I’d still feel a bit like a teen mom if I got pregnant right now.”
“You’re turning thirty this year,” Bea laughs. “And I don’t have anything. I really thought I did. We can duck out to go to Food Lion and grab some before the game is over.”
“Okay, but you have to check me when I stand up,” Honey says. She shifts Luke in her arms as she stands up, making him drop the wallet.
Luke lets out an indignant shout and starts wiggling in Honey’s arms. “Relax, bud, I’ll get my wallet,” Honey tells him. “Don’t throw a tantrum.” She bends over at the waist so that Bea can get a good look at her jeans, which are unblemished for the time being.
Bea pats Honey’s behind. “You’re good. Let’s go. I’ll drive if you put the guy in his carseat.”
“No way. I saw how he fought you on that at Mexico the other day. I’m not his mom.” Honey passes Luke to Bea, tucking her wallet into her purse. Luke is pouting, but he’s not screaming. Bea can work with pouting.
The fight to get into the carseat is just as frustrating as the time at Mexico that Honey is referring to. Luckily, Luke’s got a ministick in the backseat that he can use like a drumstick, adding a nice ambiance to the car ride. He’s reluctant to let the stick go when they get to Food Lion, so Bea carries him into the store with the stick in hand.
Honey grabs a pack of tampons and heads to the bathroom. Bea considers grabbing a pack of her own, expecting that her own period ought to be coming soon. It’s been a minute since Bea had her period– it must have been around her birthday. Maybe it was before. She hesitates for a second, then goes to pull her phone of out of her back pocket. Luke tries to grab it, but she manages to hold it out of his reach. She navigates into her period tracking app.
Your period is 34 days late.
Bea’s jaw drops and she stares at her phone. That means her period was supposed to start soon after her birthday and didn’t. In her mind, she echoes Honey’s sentiment from earlier: “Motherfucker.”
Honey comes back from the bathroom and grins. “All good. Let’s go check out.”
“I think we have to buy something else,” Bea says. She hands her phone to Honey and watches the girl’s eyes grow wide.
They take the pregnancy test in the Food Lion bathroom, the same one that Honey had just used. She holds Luke while Bea paces back and forth in front of the sink. It’s the second-longest three minutes of her life– the first was, of course, when she did something similar in her own bathroom nine months before Luke was born.
When it’s positive, Honey hugs Bea and squishes Luke between their bodies. They buy one more thing before leaving the store: a Best Big Brother shirt for Luke that’s as ugly as most grocery store shirts are, but Bea likes it. She wrestles it over Luke’s head before she belts him into the carseat to drive back to the rink.
Bea hopes that Quinn will read the shirt and understand its meaning this time. When she’d learned that she was pregnant with Luke, she’d shelled out for a “Daddy 43” Canucks jersey that had taken two weeks to get to their apartment, which meant that Bea had had to wait two weeks to tell Quinn that she was pregnant. He hadn’t gotten the hint right away. Bea remembers how he’d said “Oh, this is sick, baby. Way to plan ahead.” and Bea had to say, “Quinn, no–”
Hopefully, he’ll read the shirt and get it this time. She’s got an hour until he’s off the ice for the day, so she’ll just have to see then.
wednesday, september 22, 2032 6:52 P.M.
“How’s my best girl feeling?” Quinn asks when he gets home.
Bea’s got a lasagna going in the oven, so she’s been playing with Luke in his high chair while that cooks. She’s sitting at the table with a stack of kid’s books to her right and two superheroes in her hands. Luke is banging his Batman along his high chair tray and shouting gibberish.
Today marked ten weeks since Bea’s birthday, which is the day that she’s now certain is when Quinn knocked her up. Just like last pregnancy, ten weeks in, she’s not feeling good. Two years ago, she was able to lounge around all day and park herself in front of the toilet when need be. This year, she’s got an 18-month-old toddler running around. He does not want to be contained in the bathroom all day, no matter what Bea does to make the trips fun. She bought bathroom crayons and told him that he could draw on the walls. Luke didn’t care. He’s getting harder and harder to entertain as he grows.
Bea blinks at Quinn, able to feel the dark circles under her eyes and green tinge on her cheeks. She hasn’t stood up from the table since she and Luke sat down, knowing that she’ll probably only make it as far as the kitchen sink before she throws up again. “I hate you,” she says.
Quinn laughs. He picks Luke up and frees him from the high chair, kissing his chubby cheek before setting him down on the floor.
Luke toddles away, probably up to no good, but at least Quinn is here now. He can run off and be the savior if Luke gets into trouble.
“You do not,” Quinn tells Bea, brushing her hair out of her face and greeting her with a kiss. He leans against the table, standing next to Bea. “I’m sorry you’re feeling sick, sweetheart.”
“I think I threw up every hour,” Bea complains. She pouts at Quinn from her seat at the table, putting Luke’s toys aside. “And Luke didn’t want to hang out with me. After lunch, I was putting him down for his nap, and I had to throw up in his little trash can because his diaper was rank, and do you know what he said to me?”
She despises the way Quinn’s lips quirk up, already stifling a laugh. He thinks their son is the funniest kid ever. “What did he say?” Quinn asks.
Bea puts on her best toddler voice. “Ew, Mama,” she quotes. “All done bleughhh.”
Quinn snorts and claps a hand over his mouth, shoulders shuddering. “He did not.”
“He did! He told me to go away once I got him in the crib, too.” Bea crosses her arms over her chest and leans back in the chair. “It’s not like I can help it.”
“He doesn’t mean it,” Quinn assures her. “Luke’s not even two. He just doesn’t understand.”
Bea sighs and rolls her head back on her shoulders. “Can you put Luke down for bed tonight?” she asks. “I want to take a long bath.”
“Sure, Bea,” Quinn says. “I’ll rub your shoulders tonight too, if you want.”
He knows how horny she gets when he’s touching her, especially now that she’s pregnant. All of her senses are heightened and Quinn is taking full advantage of it. “You’re playing with fire, Hughes,” Bea tells him.
Luke comes speeding down the hallway, neon orange plastic puck in one hand. He’s dragging the stick that Quinn accidentally left in the laundry room behind him with his other hand, dangerously close to catching the blade on the base of the lamp in the front hallway. “Dada, play,” Luke requests, knocking Quinn’s thigh with the puck until Quinn takes it from him. Luke’s transitioning the stick to his other hand and swinging it like a weapon because he has no spatial awareness, so Quinn picks him up and wrestles the stick from his grip. He trades the puck back to placate the toddler.
Quinn leans down and kisses the top of Bea’s head. “Think about it. It would be so nice to have all of that tension just… melt away,” he teases. He thumbs over her lip and winks, then disappears down the hallway with Luke.
Bea lays her arms on the table and uses them to cushion her forehead. She takes a deep breath. She can hear her boys starting up a game of floor-hockey in Luke’s room and allows herself to relax. Quinn has effectively tagged in for the night, which Bea is happy about. She needs a few minutes to herself.
The oven beeps. Great timing– just when she’s free, the lasagna is ready.
wednesday, april 6, 2033 12:10 P.M.
Bea runs through her mental-checklist for the umpteenth time:
Honey has Luke. Check.
She got very pale when Bea asked her to be in the delivery room and stammered out that she’d really prefer to be on Luke duty instead. It’s fine. Trixie said she’d sub in.
Trixie is grabbing a smoothie for Bea. Check.
The doctors said it would be fine for Bea to get some natural sugar in her system after the birth.
Quinn is going to call after practice. Check.
She’ll tell him that she’s in labor then. Check.
They’ll decide on a name then. Check.
He’s got a game tonight, then he can probably fly back tomorrow. She can also manage until their Florida roadie is over in three days. The playoffs are another story, but that’s in a few weeks. She has time to figure that out.
Bea can probably convince her mom to come to Vancouver and watch the new baby while she takes Luke to a playoff game. It’s the first year since he was born that they’re in the race for the Cup and he’s really excited to see Quinn play. He’s always excited to see Quinn play, but Bea thinks that Quinn has managed to explain to Luke that they playoffs are special, and that’s what’s got him so excited.
There are so many moving parts. Bea kind of wishes that she and Quinn had waited another month or two to get pregnant, right before the start of his season, so that he would be home for this birth.
She hopes practice is over soon. Honey, Trixie, and Bea had waited two hours before coming to the hospital because Bea had insisted it was fine. Luke took eighteen hours total, so she assumed Baby #2 could wait until after lunch.
She was wrong.
Baby #2 is coming much faster than Luke did.
Bea’s not actually sure she can hold him in until after Quinn calls. The contractions are getting very close together and, last the nurse checked, she was at eight centimeters.
She’s standing now, using the bed as an anchor. Bea’s trying to bend forward at the waist to get a stretch in, but it’s making her lightheaded. Last time this happened, Quinn was standing beside her and rubbing her back, whispering in her ear and reminding her to breathe. Now, Quinn’s about four thousand miles away and in the middle of practice.
They weren’t even expecting Baby #2 to come today. It’s a stroke of luck that Bea has people with her– Trixie happened to take an extra week off to hang out with Bea before the baby came. Honey’s only in town because Trevor played Seattle on Thursday and she wanted to come up to Vancouver for the weekend. He– because Bea’s pretty certain that it’s a he again– was scheduled to come on Monday. He’s a bit early and she’s not complaining, per se, because she loves her baby already, but he couldn’t wait until his dad gets home?
The nurse knocks on the door and enters, bringing Trixie with her. “Hi, Mrs. Hughes,” the nurse says softly. She touches Bea’s shoulder. “I need you to get on the bed so I can check how dilated you are.”
“I feel like I have to shit,” Bea grits out, lifting her head to eye the woman. “Does that tell you anything? I read somewhere that needing to shit means that you’re ready to push.”
The nurse considers her words. “It’s not uncommon. Let’s just check you first, then I’ll let you know if we’re ready to push.”
Bea maneuvers her way onto the bed and breathes shakily. The contractions hurt, even with the epidural. She’d come to the hospital thinking she’d be brave and try to go all natural, but she was not strong enough for that.
The nurse reaches out and measures Bea’s dilation, nodding to herself when she pulls her hand away and disposes of her glove. “I’m going to get the doctor,” she tells Bea. “I think you’re ready. Try not to push until I get back, okay?”
Bea nods and agrees, but her heart is pumping out of her chest. Once the nurse leaves, Bea covers her face with her hands and whines. She feels completely distraught. This wasn’t supposed to happen until Monday. They don’t even have a name. They have options, but they haven’t decided. They wanted to wait until the baby was born to learn the gender and choose a name.
Trixie helps her sit up and ties Bea’s hair into a knot. “I know it hurts, but we’re almost there,” she murmurs. “We’re so close to adding to your little family, Bea-girl.”
“It’s not that,” Bea cries from behind her hands. She sniffs and squeezes her eyes shut. “I want Quinn.”
“Oh, darling,” Trixie comforts, sharing a frown with Bea. She leans into Bea and gathers her up in a hug.
“He should be here,” Bea continues. “I can’t do it.”
“I don’t think you have a choice,” Trixie says. “I’m sorry, Bea. I’m here. I’ll help you however I can.”
Bea feels a wave of hot tears fall over her cheeks and she sobs out loud. She hates Florida. She hates hockey. It’s not fair that she’s doing this without her husband, not when she knows he would want to be here just as bad as she wants him to be here.
She barely has time to think about that once the doctor enters the room. It’s the same doctor who helped deliver Luke, so she knows her, but Bea doesn’t want her to be here. Bea can feel Trixie stroking her hair and holding her hand and reminding her to breathe between pushes, but Bea would rather hear a different, deeper voice instead. At one point, Bea can hear her phone ringing, and it’s Quinn’s ringtone, but no one responds to her when she begs for them to answer it. They’re too focused on the baby, which she gets, but she needs to talk to Quinn. She needs him.
She’s exhausted by the time she’s done pushing. It’s only after her doctor lays the baby on Bea’s chest, after she delivers the placenta, and after everyone but Trixie and the nurse from before leaves the room that Bea is able to ask for Quinn again. She’s still crying a little bit. So is the baby on her chest and Bea is touching him reverently. Not only was she right about him being a boy, but she feels oddly comforted by the wailing. The baby knows that something is missing too. He wants his dad just as bad as Bea does.
“Call Quinn,” Bea repeats again, looking over at Trixie. She’s about to grab Bea’s phone from the table.
Trixie lets out a little chuckle. “Okay, Miss Impatient. I’m getting there.” She taps around on Bea’s phone, then hands it over as it starts to ring.
Bea holds the phone up so that both she and the baby are in the shot. He’s still gross from the birth, but the nurse is flittering around the room and straightening things out. When they first got to the hospital, Bea was very clear about wanting to have skin-to-skin time with the baby for at least thirty minutes, unless there was a medical emergency. He can get all wiped down and cleaned up when she’s ready. The goop isn’t hurting him.
Quinn is quick to pick up and Bea starts crying again as soon as his face fills the screen.
“Oh my God,” Quinn says first. He covers his mouth and adds, “Holy shit.”
“I had the baby,” Bea explains, her voice shaky.
“I can see that,” Quinn replies. He seems caught between surprise and laughter at her obvious statement. “Are you okay? Is– are they okay?”
“Everyone’s fine, I’m fine, he’s fine. I just miss you,” Bea laments with a sniff. She wants to wipe under her nose, but both of her hands are covered in baby-goop from touching the little guy, and she really doesn’t want that on her face. “I want you here.”
“Oh, sweet Bea,” Quinn exhales. He scrubs his hand over his scuff. “Who’s with you, baby? You’re not on your own, are you?”
“Trixie,” Bea says, turning the camera toward her sister, who is folding a blanket. She waves to Quinn. “Honey’s with Luke.”
“That’s good,” Quinn acknowledges. “Okay, yeah, that’s good. You’re not on your own. I’m so sorry I missed it, Bea.”
“You couldn’t help it,” Bea replies. Her rational thought is coming back, but her sentence only brings a fresh wave of tears.
“I know, but I’ll be back as soon as I can, okay?” Quinn asks. He waits for Bea to nod, nodding along with her. “What’s the baby like, sweetheart? You said we had another boy?”
“Mhm,” Bea hums. She tilts the phone down to capture his face. He’s not really screaming, but he’s mouthing along her skin like he’s searching for her nipple. Bea recognizes the newborn tic and wonders if it’s a thing every newborn does or if it’s something just her boys have done.
“He looks hungry,” Quinn laughs.
“I know, one sec,” Bea sets her phone down and pulls at her shirt, freeing one of her breasts and adjusting so the baby can latch on. The nurse has wandered closer, in case Bea needs help, but she’s got the muscle-memory down. Bea picks up the phone again. She doesn’t miss how Quinn quirks an eyebrow at the reveal of her skin. “We need to pick a name.”
“Do you have a favorite? Between the three?” Quinn asks.
Honestly, Bea doesn’t. Between Noah, Logan, and Patrick, she doesn’t care. She knows that ‘Jack’ is going to be the middle name– they decided that a long time ago, before Luke was even born. Even if their second baby was a girl, her middle name would be Jack. Bea thinks that could be pretty cute, with the right combination. She’s always loved the name Noah and Logan was Quinn’s favorite suggestion of his own. They’d decided on Patrick together, since Luke had a family name from the Hughes side and Bea thought it was only fair if they considered a family name from the McLean side. Patrick for Trixie was a lot better than Cecil for Cece.
Bea shakes her head. “They’re all good names.”
Quinn agrees. “Well, take a little time, get to know the guy, and let me know what you choose. I’m happy with whatever you pick, baby. You did all the heavy lifting, so I think it’s fair that you get to choose your favorite name.” He pauses, smiling when Bea frowns at him. He concedes a bit, knowing that Bea is against an executive decision. She wants to choose together. “Between you and me, I think ‘PJ’ has a nice ring to it. ‘NJ’ might not work if we think about how annoying his uncles would be.”
His comment draws a laugh from Bea. “Good point.”
Quinn stays quiet for a moment, just watching Bea through the screen. He licks his lips, then presses them together. “I am sorry that I couldn’t be there. As soon as I’m off the phone, I’m going to go find Coach and see how fast I can get home.”
Bea takes a deep breath. “Well, now I kind of want to let you go so that you get here faster,” she says, her voice teetering on the edge of joking.
Quinn sees right through it. She might be trying to joke, but he can tell that she really does want him there. “Then I’m on my way,” he says, easy as can be. “I love you. I’ll text you as soon as I know the plan, okay? I’m going to try to be there by tonight.”
Bea relaxes into the pillows. He probably will charter the team plane himself if it gets him here faster. Quinn has proven time and time again that he would move mountains for his family. “I love you.”
“See you soon, baby. And actual baby,” he adds belatedly, winking at Bea through the screen. “Send me a picture of him as soon as you can, okay?”
“As soon as we get off the phone,” Bea promises.
She hesitates to hang up and so does Quinn, which makes them laugh. Quinn is the first to go, but he’s also the first to text.
It’s your choice, but I’m leaning towards Patrick. It’s the best way to thank Trixie for helping my best girl through today❤️ see you soon sweetheart
Bea smiles at the text and puts her phone down on the bed beside her hip. She looks down at the boy in her arms, still greedily gulping down his first meal. Bea touches the fine, sparse hair on his head and traces his wrinkly, pink cheek. Patrick Jack, she says to herself. She feels a tear of pure joy form in the corner of her eye and looks up to the ceiling before it can fall on his perfect little face.
